I like them. I will wait until we take those through the Image Picking thread before moving Joaquin.
Also should the section for Sam's new team be called "Third Iteration"?

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadSo MCU: Thunderbolts is over 200K and rising. With how popular the film is, I can see it growing to the limit very soon. I'm suggesting splitting John Walker, as his section is around 80-100K himself.
Also while we're talking about splitting, Bullseye should probably be split from MCU: Other Supervillains like previously discussed.

It's gonna be fun on the bun!We are allowed to create, move and split. We aren't allowed to merge.
Yeah, we should probably start with moving her section.
PS Time to rename the MCU: Thunderbolts page, guys. Marvel are spoiling it themselves: Youtube
, Billboards
.

Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous.I say wait until we know what to do with the page. Such as making it New Avengers. Before we split anything off. Then I am fine with making Walker's page. Also sure with Bullseye
Can you show me where it was said that was oka
Also should we just add the New Avengers to the Avengers index as that page is super short?

Looks good
Also, if we're having size issues, for now we should move Taskmaster off of the Thunderbolts page.

to the those but keep the current for when he is just Bob.
I agree that we are probably rushing to much for the Thunderbolts page. Especially in regards to the renaming.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadOk I forgot about moving Taskmaster, so that's my bad, but she's only around approx 17K, so in the scheme of things even if we move her first it's not going to make much of a difference.
Beyond everything else I'm looking at straight page length, and we're over 200K atm, and that's when we start looking at possible splits.

It's gonna be fun on the bun!I do think that we are often in a rush to split characters into their own pages.
No that is not automatically when we look at splits. It's a case by case basis. If there were more folders then I would be more okay with looking to split. But if we move Taskmaster it will put it under 200,000 bytes and leave it with 4 folders. I would prefer to wait until it is over 220,000 bytes.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadI mean in this case we don't really have much other options, we could split it into Thunderbolts members part one and two, but that doesn't really make sense.
I'm looking at this in a strictly page length sense, disregard any spoilers and popularity, and Walker is nearly 100K by himself, so it's the logical split.
Edited by GateStarX on May 5th 2025 at 8:17:32 AM
It's gonna be fun on the bun!We don't need to split just because something reaches 200,000 bytes. This isn't a case where there are a hundred folders like the Multiverse page. Like John is half the bytes which means if we remove him the page would only be 100,000 bytes and not even that since 17k of that would be moved with Taskmaster, so it would be 80,000 some bytes. This is why I normally wait until 220,000 like with Ross.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadI mean I can wait, I just like being proactive, especially with actively growing pages, last I checked it was approx 207K. My personal time to split limit is 200K, so that's when I start looking at splits.
Edited by GateStarX on May 5th 2025 at 8:27:18 AM
It's gonna be fun on the bun!But that doesn't mean we have to. Sometimes it is better to go with the motto of "If it ain't broke don't fix it",or, in this case, "If it doesn't need to be split right away don't split". The page (not counting Taskmaster) is only 4 folders and will be back to under 200,000 after she is removed. This is a case where I think it is best to wait.
For comparison, I am fine with the Bullseye page because the Other Supervillains page is 235,000 bytes.

I disagree. We want to be creating more CS Ps, not fewer. And John not only had a CSP before that neatly organized his tropes + images, but he also has a variant from What If that needs categorizing, and would take bytes away from the Multiverse page. I see no downside here.

"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Why don’t we wait to split until the page has the too long warning?
Edited by MB74 on May 5th 2025 at 11:32:08 AM
I’ll lift my face, and run to the sunlight.Because that warning arbitrarily appears anywhere after 200K, unless someone has a set limit when it appears.

o we should not be making more. That mind set is what led to pages that didn't need to be split being split. There is a down side. Again if we remove him and Taskmaster. The page would be under 100,000 bytes. There is no reason to leave a page that small if we don't have to. Again we don't automatically have to make CPS. Unless the mods new decision is that we have to, they should be a last resort when they are absolutely necessary.
![]()
Mostly because multiple factors lead to the warning and you never know when it will show for certain pages.
This cases are rare and require way more folders than 4. Usually it only appears between 220,000 to 300,000 and sometimes even higher than that.

Trying to but it’s hard when a 4k blu ray version of the movie won’t be out until May 13. Speaking of the Avengers page, can we move the multiversal variant folders of the team to MCU: Designated Universes and MCU: Multiverse?
