Before we even start this thread: Please note this is not intended to be drama importation/exportation. I do not talk on the Discord or anything involving The Modding Tree about TV Tropes' users, policies, etc. I mostly tell the people there about tropes pages on their games being made there and sometimes ask for info, and as far as I can tell, there were no issues with Auto-Erotic Troping or The Fic May Be Yours, but the Trope Page Is Ours. Since it's a web-based game engine, I think people there may have some good knowledge regarding these matters actually, and even if it's not perfect, I'd say it's worth a listen.

Today, I asked the people if any of them are American, in case their games could be put on American Media (and soon to be split American Video Games). One user asks if I could offer them the list of nationality media lists out of curiosity, so I link them to Media. They then inspected the code of of our site.

They're talking about userAgent. You can check this in sources, under analytics.js. It appears that this userAgent thing is unreliable (I realise this sounds like Captain Obvious, but I don't know much there).

Next, I got this, regarding var broswer = "; which is seen in that pic:

I said yes, we were made in 2004, and they said that apparently " was always invalid. Another user pointed out this.

Also got this suggestion:

And the single-letter functions can be seen here.

I'm not familiar with how KHTML is bad exactly. Wikipedia's page on KHTML says it is said to be removed in KDE Frameworks 6, but that apparently has not happened for a while.

Profectus is the name of the successor of The Modding Tree. Not sure what ES3 means exactly. And I got one more thing regarding single-letter functions and new .js tools, which was put in a separate thread there:

Before you complain: Yes, I asked for permission to publish their findings and posts here, and have been granted it from the server moderator.

Anyway yeah, I'm no expert and don't expect a lot to be done right now, but I'd like these findings to be investigated by more experienced people on this website and potential fixes to be considered. Maybe we'll get more info later, we'll see.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)

You're posting this in the wrong place. The people who code the site do not get their ideas from randomly browsing the forums.

If you want to report specific issues, you can use Query Bugs. If you have detailed information that you feel would be helpful, you can use our contact form (linked in the footer) and send it to 'The Staff'.
