There has also been comparisons to Future Diary which might be more appropriate, given that I'm sure there would be more than just two super smartphones.
Also, the Detective guy/girl is kind of useless at the moment.
I only made that comment because of the Death Note comparisons. L was a lot more effective in trying to figure out Kira when he was first introduced.
Sure, it's too early to tell, but if we're looking for comparisons Nagi currently looks more like Inspector Nakamori from Magic Kaito than L, whose role is to be foiled by the protagonist, instead of standing as his opposite equal.

Hmm, I think this series has a nice amount of potential. I hope it doesn't get wasted because of bad writing choices or low ratings.
Regarding the inspector character, my theory is that the whole thing is being set up as a three-way struggle where nobody is clearly superior, but also she'll end up helping (or at least she'll willingly let go) the protagonist in order to stop the clearly evil villain.
Chapter 7:
It's been tit for tat between Q and Zen'ichirou. First, Zen'ichirou with the charm to try to convince them, then Q with the quick brush off and him figuring out Zen'ichirou in one, then Zen'ichirou upping the ante by revealing himself and announcing that he will find Q. At this point, I might as well be Seomizu...
The Shounen Jump YT channel uploaded a voiced version of the 1st part of Chapter 1 starring Kōtarō Nishiyama as Q, and Hiro Shimono as Kimi.

Didn't think about that, but yes, that's traceable. Though the guy might be so full of himself that he would think people Googugu him all the time.

I'm now imagining a scenario where Q's schemes keep failing because the other guy is too dumb to catch on.
Chapter 9:
Q has searched for the next Smartphone user he plans to meet next - Moura - with precision, but unbeknownst to him, this might be a Batman Gambit by Zen'ichirou. I can see why some would be a bit turned off...
We also get phone charging and Seomizu's team getting unlimited authority to investigate the high-rise incident.

It's good that Q is acknowledging there's No Conservation of Energy, practically asking "Is this just literally magic?"
Chapter 10:
Looks like Q figured it out, that he was being used by Zen'ichirou to look for Moura... Meanwhile, we got to know Moura: he's a shoplifter that would've been caught by his very strict dad who just so happened to be a doctor if not for his laissez-faire approach to parenting. We also meet Tadayoshi Imura, an absolute Starscream in the works I bet who is absolutely gonna screw with Q soon...

(Right, it's been 5 chapters, and no one else has made a thread about this... I hope this doesn't meet the same fate as Ayashimon...)
So we got an average-looking-yet-pretty-intelligent protagonist who ends up getting a Super Smartphone that is clearly a Google expy but much more involved in ignoring privacy for searches. The series seems to be focusing on 2 things: our protagonist's younger brother, who gives much of the protagonist's conflict, and the superphone itself, wanting its user to keep searching to "unlock points".
The similarities to Death Note are not lost in the series but merely reconfigured to current technology. Overall, it seems interesting to warrant further discussion and hype.
And now, about Chapter 5:
Ok, Zen'ichirou here, he could definitely be a sadist...
