"I've had a random thought, actually. You know about complex numbers, right? And somebody's told you about them before? What are they being used for in this universe? Because in my homeworld, they're used for quantum physics and to model rotating things, but save for the windmills here, I don't really see any practical applications. Yet."
If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong.”We’re just waiting for Kaeya. I need to give him something.”
As he spoke, the door opened.
”Oh, Albedo! What can I do for you?” He looked at Stefan. ”…And… who’s this?” His words were hesitant, yet that was hard to notice.
”This is Stefan, a visitor and friend of mine. As for the first question…” He presented the other box. ”Happy birthday, Calvary Captain.”
”Oh, so I’m just the Calvary Captain now? I thought we were closer than that,” he teased.
Just a wanderer.”It was actually yesterday, but thank you. Anyway, Jean gave me something to do, so I’m off! I’ll open this later.” He ran off.
”I don’t have anything else in Mondstadt, but if anything caught your eye, I can take you. Otherwise, we can…” He shrugged. ”I don’t know, I didn’t plan much. The walk to Liyue is pretty long, but we’ll more than likely have enough time to get there before dark and test whatever it is you want to test.”
Just a wanderer."Eh... I wasn't really planning anything either. We could go back to your lab here in Mondstadt and talk about science and maths? And the interesting spots, obviously."
Stefan stares off into the distance, towards Dragonspine Mountain.
"I don't think I've left anything at your other lab, did I? Besides the Wikipedia articles."
If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong.”I don’t think so. Sucrose is busy in the Mondstadt lab, so I don’t want to disturb her work. We could do that anywhere, though. There’s enough time to get to Liyue, like I said, but if you don’t want to walk that far, we could just tour the non-city parts of Mondstadt. There’s many interesting areas, despite the country’s reputation for being boring.”
Just a wanderer."Alright, gimme a sec..."
Stefan retrieves his tablet once again.
"For the first spot, you have to move directly south from a waypoint near the inn to a boat near a rock in the river. Apparently, if you do a plunging attack- erm, get underneath the boat, wait for a while, and then get out from underneath it, you'll get launched into the sky."
At this point, you can choose whether your world of Genshin is an actual game - the glitch works - or if it's just a universe that closely resembles it - the glitch doesn't work, and Albedo just pushes the boat upwards
If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong.”Well, actually it’s Sucrose, but not in the way you’re thinking of. A potion. It will temporarily negate my weakness to water. I don’t use it normally because of the materials involved, but I have a few bottles stored for such occasions as this. I’ll be back.” He runs off, and comes back minutes later with a blue bottle. ”I’m ready to go!”
The potion in question actually increases Hydro Damage resistance but I am expanding its effects for this.
Just a wanderer.I was thinking that maybe there could be a chat along the way, but if you want to skip ahead, feel free
Stefan now takes the pill-shaped box from his pocket and opens it up to reveal weirdly shaped earplugs. "Do you mind if I listen to music along the way? Or actually, I don't have a speaker, but would you like to hear it?"
If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong."More complex math... Hm."
Stefan scrolls through his song library.
"I was hoping to chat, so no Fox Stevenson, 'cause I always like to sing along with that... Ah, how about Noisia!"
Noisia - Collider (Outer Edges EP)
"So, anyways, you know how I like to give out puzzles over on the thread? I've been thinking about getting more complex numbers involved, but for the stuff that we do at university - finding the cube roots of minus one and such things - I'd have to give a decently sized introduction to the whole thing, and I don't really know if it's worth it. You're one of the few people - well, besides Venti if there's something to brute-force." Stefan laughs. "Yeah, you're one of the few people who actually bother engaging with them."
If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong."Electronic speakers. As far as I know, there is no physical instrument that you play it on - this music has been made completely with - well, maybe there's some sampling involved, but other than that, you need a computer and a special program to make it. On the plus side, you can make some very interesting sounds with computers - such as this."
Stefan bobs his head up and down to the rhythm.
If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong.

”No, we have book presses. 4000 isn’t really all that much.”
”Anyway, Lisa, do you know where Kaeya is?”
”I believe he’s in Jean’s office right now. He’ll be out soon.”
Albedo nodded, turning toward another room, this time waiting outside.
Just a wanderer.
