It doesn't really look like he's channeling anything, it looks like he's just standing in a cloud of dust, JAFAAC.

The faces on his torso imply possession. His body language implies that it's willing. It's not great, but I'd give a weak "keep until better image is suggested."

I still prefer the current.

I like a lot better. Their shared body language gets across "willing". The boy and his ghost look more like willing companions than current, which looks like a demonic possession he's just accepting.

I don't see any channeling there, it just looks like a memory of a character or Call-Forward or something like that.

Tentative for 17. It's slightly hard to parse the bottom panel, but I think it's an improvement over the current.

17 is good. The top panel has a little speech balloon tail, but that can be cropped out if need be.

for 17 although I agree that that bottom panel's a little truncated.
