I thought it was a little disappointing honestly, I'm still very excited for the film. But the trailer didn't do much for me.
I'm most interested in seeing Jane's plotline, and it felt like this was a very Thor focused trailer without much in the way of her motivations (not that I only don't want to see Thor).
By her "first villain" statement, Jane was apparently not been doing this long only adding further questions.
Okay that image of Val, Jane, and Bast is definitely on this Olympus. Presumably they are apart of a God meeting to talk about Gorr.
Question is why Thor is in the arena under some kind of disguise. Guess he wasn't invited?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Wait... So our villain this time is a sickly-looking, ash-pale fellow who wields a great big life-drinking sword in wars involving deities?
Since when did the Marvel Universe include Elric of Melniboné?! :P
[edit] Although funnily enough, looking it up, Elric has actually appeared in Marvel comics, I believe. [/edit]
More seriously, the trailer makes this look pretty fun, and quite interesting! I'm very behind on the Marvel movies (due to somewhat-extraneous matters), but I'm enthused to watch this when I (hopefully) at some stage gain access to it. ^_^

My Games and Asset PacksI think we're going to be getting another case of parallel villain/hero storylines, like in Ragnarok. This seems to be a thing these days with a lot of shows. Taika Waititi is very deliberately contrasting the vibrant, colorful world of the gods with the decaying, monochrome landscape that Gorr surrounds himself with. The Splash of Color that we get when Valkyrie fights Gorr wielding Zeus's thunderbolt is hauntingly beautiful.
I'm trying to figure out Thor's arc and it looks like he's going to have to get serious about, you know, being Thor again. I like goofy Chris Hemsworth and I love the arc that Thor has taken in the MCU where he's now doubting his part in the story, but that can only last so long before it wears out. Waititi seems like he realizes where that line is drawn.
I almost hate to ask, but do we know if Hemsworth is staying on after this? I feel like Tonight, Someone Dies.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Both the trailer and poster look amazing. I think this is going to be my favorite Marvel movie of the year.
Did anyone else notice that when fighting in Olympus bits of rock came flying from Jane's hammer? There was a toy released that said she could alter the hammer shape with the fragments.
Gorr looks like a corpse that is animated solely by a dark oath. I understand why Taika Waititi said he was the most terrifying villain in the MCU.
Sincerely S Awatching.Yeah, it looks like Jane can manipulate Mjolnir's fragments and use them as individual projectiles, which is an awesome twist to her powers.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Yay, I was hoping the Guardians would play a major role but I can understand if it wouldn't work.
Sincerely S Awatching. One of the reaction videos I watched raised the question of whether Bastet is the same figure as Bast that we hear about in The Eternals Black Panther. There's a lot of potential for crossover mythology here.

You mean Black Panther? Bast wasn't mentioned in Eternals.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Plot twist: Sif has been training and now she can fight at the same level as Thor.
I honestly hope there's a scene where the Asgardian army shines.
The last scene they were in consisted of them being stomped by Captain America, and their leader Loki being easily defeated by Black Widow.

I think a bigger continuity problem would be if all 12 Olympians exist in this film. Because then we have to ask how they influenced humanity in the old days when Thena, Phastos, Makkari, and Sersi (amongst several other Greek figures I'm probably forgetting) exist, and tied their origins to telling those old stories.
My only Hand Wave I got for this is that Arishem took a look at the Greek Pantheon and decided to make their own ripoff equivalents of them as "inspiration". But that still begs the question of how the Greek gods would be cool with knockoff robot versions of themselves existing.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Recap to avoid Continuity Lock-Out: Moon Knight has established that most of the Egyptian gods have fucked off to the Overvoid (I don't recall that they actually establish what this is in-show, but in the comics it's their home dimension) and use avatars to observe humanity. Some of them have been sealed away in defiance of the Ennead, the grand god council.
Assuming the writers of Love and Thunder, Moon Knight, and Black Panther 2 talked to each other (already a big if), might just be that Bast has broken from the pantheon and continues to remain an active deity.
