Just wondering does anyone know if Valkyrie's quest for a queen was ever really going to be a thing? Was it in cut or deleted scenes or was it was just exaggeration/hype?
Just thinking there might have been some obfuscation on the real meaning of the title Love And Thunder that's made clear at the end.

As far as the title is concerned, I thought it was a very minor pun on the relationship between Jane and Thor. I was absolutely stunned by its use at the ending, which was brilliant.
As for Valkyrie... I maintain that Disney insisted that the exposition scenes about her be written in such a way that they could be easily cut for the Chinese market. Who knows how much material was left on the cutting room floor, but it doesn't seem like Waititi would have filmed an entire side-quest centered around her.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"![]()
You try explaining that to the executives...
That too, I guess. Soon enough they'll be releasing no-gay cuts of films in some US states.
I did not remember that about China. One less excuse.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I was hoping not to have to come to that conclusion, but it's looking more likely by the day.
That said, the domestic market is pretty homophobic, too.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Soon we’ll instead be speculating whether content was cut to appeal to the homophobic Florida market
Forever liveblogging the AvengersAlso does Korg count for a Discount Lesbians entry? With his apparently all male race?

Yes, I was just thinking that's a good use of the trope.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I'm still thinking the underuse of Lady Sif is my biggest gripe with this film possibly because it's my gripe for all the Thor films.
I mean we weren't short of badass ladies. (though killing off another superheroine wasn't fun) but still always wanted to see more of Sif being badass.
I know there's infinite possibilities for fan service in the Endgame battle but I'd have loved for Steve's, Tony's and Thor's supporting cast to rotate? So like Sif could help out Steve, War Machine help out Thor and have Bucky bail out Tony, give a tiny bit of closure there.
Any way very off topic. Something for the fanfic that won't get writ.
Sorry. Is this better?
There's this crossover fan art of Wonder Woman being in Omnipotence City with Jane Foster, looking embarrassed of MCU Zeus's behaviour, which I thought was funny.
You can find it here.

Since they're not really doing anything else with Sif and Jamie Alexander is usually busy doing other things, they could've at least had Valkyrie watch her kick ass, formally instate her as Queen of Asgard for her valor (with zero flirting to avoid triggering the wrath of the homophobes), and reap praise for the implications while the shippers fill in the Les Yay in for themselves.

Yeah, Gorr killing Falligar and chopping off one of Sif's arms would have been a great way to show that he's going too far and also killing good gods rather than us simply being told they were good. Though it could be inferred by all the corrupt gods hanging out on Omnipotence City.
As for the Disney being LGBT-phobic, there is the normalized trans man in Baymax, a part of a major Disney franchise unlike The Owl House, and even though he was a minor character, one baby step at a time I guess. Though I could just be a naive dumbass.

Yeah I feel like that would have been the perfect way to show the difference between good Gods and selfish bad Gods.
The Gods that actual out there among the people helping them vs the Gods holding themselves up on Omnipotence City.
Like imagine if Falligar was clearly just minding his own business either helping his people or acting as their protector, it would clearly frame Gorr's murder of him as very much in the wrong.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The TV shows can get away with more. The Owl House doesn't have nearly the same kind of publicity and backing as the blockbusters and even the creator admitted she could not, in good faith, assume that the reason Disney shortened its third season was for non-homophobic reasons (especially after, again, the fiasco of Disney initially backing the Don't Say Gay bill in Florida).

Add Lazorgator and we’ve got a misotheist trinity.
