I made an example of how the page could be reorganized at Sandbox.Permanent Red Link Club. As far as I'm aware I didn't cut anything except the Image Links, which I seem to have forgotten. I also excluded the "Unlisted cut pages" because it could probably be reworked more naturally into the page description.
I added "Main." to pages that should be in a different namespace, but aren't, likely because they were added many years ago, before we moved things to different namespaces.
Overall, I'd suggest the following:
- Move "Tropes and indices" to another page, like a "Hall of Shame" of sorts. They don't need to be on the PRLC because they're in Main, which regular users can't create. The value they add to the list is informational and knowing mistakes not to be repeated, which can also be served on another page.
- Remove everything in "Pages moved from Main namespace". People probably aren't going to bother recreating them through TLP, and if somebody wants them turned into redirects they can just be directed to a policy against cross-namespace redirects like that.
- Move Image Links to No Image Links Please or a similar page.
- Cut the "Initialisms and Plurals" redirects folder. Alternatively, cut the entire redirects section and move the interesting ones to the Hall of Shame.
- Either update the outdated pages incorrectly in Main to lock the correct namespace as well, or cut them from the list. Cutting most of the irrelevant ones would probably leave only a few locks to add.

I agree that we could cut down on most main pages since they can't be recreated by normal users and a No Image Links Please page. A lot of them are likely covered by Trope Epitaph, even if that is JFF.

Regarding the "I don't know about this" section: My very fuzzy recollection of what Busy Street was involved bashing TGWTG creators (especially the Nostalgia Critic) and attacking/upsetting TGWTG fans, of which there were a lot here back in the late 2000s/early 2010s. The rest I either wasn't around for or have forgotten about (though I'm pretty sure License To Whine was yet another Predefined Message that got out of control and turned into spam).

online since 1993 | huge retrocomputing and TV nerd | lee4hmz.info (under construction) | heapershangout.comCan we at least get the No Image Links Please page? I think it sounds like a sensible proposal.

OK, I got it... Just wanted to see if anyone else would respond. Will start a thread.

Originally, the Permanent Red Link Club worked as a list of pages that should not and must not be recreated. However, many of the pages are in the Main namespace, which for years have only been makable through TLP or mod approval.
In addition, the page arguably goes into too much detail of what pages were created. The YMMV.Award Snub entry, for example, mentions that it was created by one troper. In my opinion it's not really necessary to keep records of these small, misplaced wiki pages with little significance.
Some of the sections in particular seem somewhat unnecessary:
By cutting down on the less necessary parts, I'm hoping the Permanent Red Link Club can be made more readable again.
