So I was thinking about this show a bit, and how I didn't have any good points of comparison with other sports series I'm familiar with, when it hit me—This series has the tone of a gambling manga. The over-the-top characters, ridiculous conditions, the MC already being one of the best; these are all things rare in sports series but quite common in gambling ones. ...I wonder if we're going to see rampant cheating here, like in most gambling manga
Episode 2: "Innocent Tyrant" is such a good epithet, especially for someone who someone who can hand Eve a loss. And just like that, they've sparked a flame in each other. Their rivalry is already great. Didn't expect Eve to be able to join the pro circuit so soon, either. Excited to see them play a full course. Eve must have more colored bullets loaded in her gun.
Also agreed that about the gambling-manga tone. It certainly gives this sports anime a fresh feel.

Episode 3: Eve makes good on her promise with Aoi and enters the U15. Her opponents quickly find out what a terrifying opponent she is. On replaying the hole she played with Aoi, she hit the exact same trajectory, but without the branch blocking the way her ball makes it to the fairway. That’s major sports shonen energy and I love it.
Aoi misses her last putt for some reason (I’m assuming Aoi’s inexperience with the Nafrece breeze), so her battle with Eve ended in a tie. Obviously they won’t be satisfied with that result.
New episode is up.
I expected some sort of foul play, but a laser pointer to the eye was surprising because of how mundane it is compared to their other cheating methods.
Also, It's too bad Eve could't plat one last game with Aoi. It was sad to see how badly Aoi took it too.

What I liked most was the fact that the Purple Bullet was rendered as though it was named after Aoi!
Shipping Fuel intensifies!!
Episode 8: Rose doesn’t give a shit that she lost an arm, she still gave Wve one hell of a fight. RIP, you truly were a great stealth mentor.
Now Lily and the rest get to have a nice cushy life from the mega payout from Eve’s victory. And Vipere gets a yacht and everything. The dude that’s into her has also won at life. He’s rich and he gets snake woman’s “secret technique” all night.
The funniest part is that all these high stakes mafia stuff was merely the prelude to Eve becoming Eve Kimishima, and moving to Japan to presumably become a Mysterious Transfer Student.
The golf clothes used by Eve and Aoi in the ED sequence can be purchased. Not sure if it's still available.

No trope page yet, but I've taken a peek at the first episode.
Basically it's Serious Business Golf.
I wish I've seen such scenarios when I did golf way back in the day.
UPDATE: Now has a Birdie Wing page. Still minimal for now.
