10/10, easily. it's really cool to see things just become better and better. just compare Sonic 1 to Sonic 2, for example.
Signature Scene Welcome, my little friend! Or should I say...friends?
9/10. Can potentially overshadow the rest of the work, but they have to be good to be that memorable.
Shocking Moments Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.
9/10. It really captures how much we would like to be the character in question.
Self-Imposed Challenge
4/10. Not my thing, and I don't have much sympathy for people who choose to take them on.
Seven colors in the rainbow. Seven letters in the word "rainbow". Coincidence? I think not.3/10. Some really are funny or uncanny, but most examples are just groan-worthy reaches or weird shoehorns.
Alternate Aesop Interpretation
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.8/10
If the work has a moral it tries to teach, but the audience reads another moral, that can get confusing. That said, it can be good if the intended moral would have been wrong and/or cynical while the made-up moral is more realistic and/or idealistic.
Angst? What Angst? My mother nicknamed me, hence the username.
ehhhh, 3/10. it's funny, but like, give my little characters some depth, please? like, if someone just fucking died, you would react a little more, right?
Ensemble Dark Horse Welcome, my little friend! Or should I say...friends?
8/10. It's nice to see a minor character become popular, especially if it gives them a bigger role later in the story.
Shallow Parody
3/10 - It just makes the other characters look like idiots for trusting them.
Seven colors in the rainbow. Seven letters in the word "rainbow". Coincidence? I think not.5/10 - No real opinion, but could probably use a better name.
Seven colors in the rainbow. Seven letters in the word "rainbow". Coincidence? I think not.8/10 It's good when a characters unpopular character direction is fixed.
"Give our Captain back, you jerks!"3/10, especially when the explanation is just that bad. like, damn, you couldn't've just made something Ascended Fanon?
Fanon Welcome, my little friend! Or should I say...friends?
5/10
It's understandable if the villain had a tragic Freudian Excuse, but if it's Unintentionally Sympathetic, it can taint the audience's experience of the work.
Unintentionally Sympathetic My mother nicknamed me, hence the username.
6/10. Can offer nuance to a story, but the caveat is that it's unintentional.
Canon Defilement Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.
1/10. The page doesn't make it clear what exactly "canon defilement" is, but I don't think I like it.
Seven colors in the rainbow. Seven letters in the word "rainbow". Coincidence? I think not.3/10. If you're gonna give an argument, back it up.
He's Just Hiding Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.

5/10. It depends on the sequel in question.
