Putting aside the fact that the last panel is on NightmareFuel.The Princess And The Frog for now, I don't think that's very clear. I've seen the movie more than once and it took me a second. It looks like the necklace is some funky portal instead of something that contains a fragment of someone's soul.

Okay, here's one from Fables, Prince Brandish. He's removed his heart and hidden it in a fortress, he can't be killed so long as his heart is safe.
I have a few other images of him explaining his immortality as he gets up from the autopsy shown in the first panel. And some of him finally dying when a person-turned-bird sneaks into his fortress and pecks it apart. It might be kind of hard to digest at wiki size but I could also give it a go.

It's also not an example (and yes I know This Image Is Not an Example exists, but that's not a catch-all for using potentially misleading images). The pendant wasn't keeping Facilier immortal, he was just using it for his evil scheme. He only dies when it breaks because his friends on the other side have a debt to collect when he fails.
I have no idea what's going on in either OP or 5. I kind of get 4, but it's way too busy.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.

Ok, here's a simplified version of 4, with some moved and blown up captions to explain the situation. I can restore the green tint to the chamber to make the heart pop out more, but since it's only 2 panels I didn't think it'd be necessary.

This is a quality upgrade of 9. After looking at it in dark mode, I noticed a few places I didn't smooth out the borders and edges. Plus I made the word balloons a smidge larger.

I want to add "And prince Brandish has neither." to that, since in a cast with spouse murdering immortals and murderous inter dimensional emperor's, Brandish is still one of the more unpleasant people, but I'm not sure it'd come through with just the pic.
