Almost done with Chapter 4 on my first playthrough. So far I'm really enjoying the gameplay loop of experimenting with various builds. My standard "default" build however is a Nine-Ball expy Medium build armed with a Linear Rifle, Pulse Blade, Vertical Missile Launcher, and Grenade Cannon.
Thinking of making a White Glint expy build too.
When it comes to facing enemy AC's, I either go with a Tank build armed with dual Zimmermans / Gatling guns and dual Songbirds, or I go with a Medium build armed with a Laser Lance and Pile Bunker on the left shoulder for melee burst damage.

Disgusted, but not surprisedAnd that's Chapter 4 done. Beat 240 with a tank build with dual Gatling Guns and dual Stun Needles.
I ended up doing the mission twice since I missed one of the parts you can find in the mission. Not the Moonlight, but the Aurora Wave Cannon.
Not sure it was worth it though.
The Grinders were annoying. Until I realized they are really weak to explosive weapons. I could take out damn near all of them from one of the bridge's arches by launching missiles at them.
Disgusted, but not surprisedYeah, the second ending is much much more feel-good in terms of tone and the terms of victory. Probably one of the most optimistic endings From Soft’s made in a long time, in fact.
The 3rd one’s kinda out there and opens a whole new can of worms for humanity as a whole, though.

I do like the Alba set you get from the penultimate mission of the route. Didn’t feel good about killing the boss of it though.
Used the Alba set to make an expy of the first White Glint from AC 4. Gave it the Ransetsu AR burst assault rifle, the Pulse Blade, and a Laser Cannon.
Disgusted, but not surprisedMy go to build now is a Nine Ball themed build equipped with the iconic AC weapons the Moonlight and Karasawa. On the back it has a SOUP spread missile launcher and the Earshot Grenade Launcher. It has the Terminal Armor expansion for an extra layer of protection.
This build can handle most foes from hordes of small enemies to enemy AC’s to big bosses. When I want to save on ammo costs I switch out Karasawa for the Harris Linear Rifle.
Most of my damage OS upgrades are maxed out now with Kinetic Weapons being the only incomplete one.

Disgusted, but not surprisedDid anyone ever make a website where you could share or at least display AC builds online, kinda like what MugenMonkey
did?
And that’s NG+ done. Felt pretty good freeing a world instead of burning it.
Final boss of the route was a joke though, especially compared to the final boss of my previous route. Though I guess the penultimate boss was the real challenge.

Disgusted, but not surprised
It's very cheap for a reason. But sometimes, frustration leads to cheesing anyways. And, you can always go back.
One of these days I should go back into AC 6 and actually beat the final boss. And a detour in revenge on the IBIS series via the ONGBAL Special if it's still viable.
Burning love!NG++ unique missions really don't pull punches. Just finished chapter 1.
- "Escort the Weaponized Mining Ship" took a few tries, until I remembered that all of the enemies in it are weak to explosive weapons. So I loaded my arm and back units with grenade launchers and blew them all sky high.
- "Obstruct the Mandatory Inspection" pits you against the PCA's heavy hitters early. The boss fight was particularly frustrating, though it only took two tries. I targeted the weaker units first before tackling the main boss.
- "Attack on Watchpoint"...oddly enough was pretty smooth this time. I thought I'd have a harder time with Sulla and his new pals, but I pulled through. Balteus was also not so bad. Guess I've just gotten used to fighting it.
Except for "Escort the Weaponized Mining Ship", my standard "NINE-BALL" loadout served me well:
- HARRIS Linear Rifle in the right arm unit for sniping and burst stagger damage. For duel fights I switch to the KRSV (Karasawa) for max damage.
- MOONLIGHT in the left arm unit for mid range melee.
- SOUP in the right back unit for explosive damage and putting pressure on AC's.
- EARSHOT in the left back unit for explosive burst damage to punish staggers.
I prioritized looks over stats, so the frame was far from ideal:
- VP-44S as the head unit. It's the only one with an "eye" that looks the most like the Nine-Ball of past AC games.
- ALBA as the core unit. Decent core that looks cool and fits the "Nine-Breaker" incarnation of Nine-Ball.
- NACHTREIHER/44E as the arm unit. I don't particularly like it, but it's one of the few arm units that can actually use the KRSV.
- MIND ALPHA as the leg unit. They're a bit rounder than I'd like for a Nine-Ball cosplay, but they look pretty cool nonetheless. The Melander leg units were a bit too bulky compared to the ALBA core.
- The internals were all endgame Rubicon Institute stuff. IB-C 03 B: NGI 001 Booster, IB-C 03 F: WLT 001 FCS, and IB-C 03 G: NGI 000 Coral Generator.
Also went to the trouble of trying to match the paint scheme of Nine-Ball and even downloaded the decal. Though instead of putting the "9" on the shoulder, I pout it on the ALBA core along with the "Raven" decal.
Overall this build is hardly the best. Probably worthless for pvp, not that I have ever tried pvp nor plan to do so. But I think it covers enough bases that it will get you through most of the missions, though certain boss fights will definitely be easier with more specialized builds.
I might post a pic of this in a later post.
Disgusted, but not surprisedApparently there's a site to share your designs online after all: AC6 Parts Calculator
.
This was an approximation of my most-used build
, though I'm pretty sure a few parts are incorrect since it's been awhile and I no longer have the game installed.
I put my build's file link from that same site here.
Here's the build with the KRSV instead of the HARRIS.

Disgusted, but not surprisedNever did like the Coral generators and their weird energy recharge mechanics.
Sure, they have an incredible energy output and even boost the effects of the Expansion abilities, but it comes at the cost of a huge energy recovery vulnerability if you don't figure out the timing or realize you're actually SUPPOSED to drain it to zero.

I know the Linear Rifles ended up receiving a ton of buffs, for some reason. They're probably the best weapons for missions involving hordes of easy-to-eliminate M Ts or defenses, good at engaging targets at range, and not too shabby at building up stagger on bigger enemies too.
