I do wonder if Vision is still the "father" of Billy and Tommy in the other universes. Like, were they still magic conceptions like in WandaVision? Was Vision actually human in that universe and is biologically their father? Is the father someone else?
Probably not that important, but it's something I'm curious about since they never mention any Vision variants during the film.
From a Watsonian standpoint: Wanda is so corrupted by the Darkhold, that she doesn't care about Vision anymore and her kids are the cornerstone for her happiness and climatic life.
From a Doylist standpoint: Elizabeth Olsen explains that "The kids are part of [Wanda's] myth as well. I think that's also part of it. I do think that once you're a mother, the loss of your child is more painful than any other loss you could ever experience. That's really why."
She also implied that in the 838 Universe, Vision and Wanda are divorced.
And White Vision is simply a emotionless carbon copy robot that is not truly relevant to the story in anyway whatsoever.
I think Wanda wanting to go after the kids but not Vision was explained in Wandavision itself. In that she lets go of Vision, gives him a tearfelt goodbye as she realizes he's well and truly dead (with White Vision being, as explained in that theseus ship scene, essentially a entirely different person). Then she goes off to the woods and hears the voice of her kids (not Vision) in the Darkhold, implying to her that they (but not Vision) are still out there somewhere.
It could have done with a "What about Vision?" "Vision is dead." sort of exchange though.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I'll say that my guess is that the Darkhold was limiting her vision to places that suited it's goal. Wanda could tell herself that killing and replacing another universe's version of her (or shoving them through the other way, so they're stuck in her dimension, or whatever she was planning) didn't really hurt anyone else, but she'd basically have to kill Vision in order to take his wife's place believably. Also, there was a nontrivial chance a Vision could talk her out of things, as he'd sort of done before.
Alternatively, she didn't want the possibility of losing him again, so she was avoiding those worlds intentionally.
Also remember that Wanda didn't actually pick 838, that's just where America and Strange ended up. She very well could've tried for a universe with Vision had she taken America's powers.
regulation pigeonI don't. I know the comic you're referencing, but trying to bring it to the big screen would just feel like WandaVision 2: Now With 100% Less Wanda.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I think if/when we see Wanda again, I think her Scarlet Witch costume should undergo another revision, and be a cross of the two we've got so far: like, give me the texture of the costume and crown we have in Multiverse of Madness, but on the brighter red and sleeveless design of the WandaVision costume. At the very least, a brighter red costume would make do (I get that the Multiverse of Madness suit is supposed to be darker to visually convey the Darkhold corruption, but it isn't that far from being completely black in some scenes).
Okey Dokey!Another Wanda versus Illuminati video, this time with Ed, Edd n Eddy sound effects:
Damn, even with the silliness of that soundtrack, this is a pretty messy fight. Like, between this and what they do to Gargantos earlier in the film, I don't think we'll have to worry about how Deadpool 3 will go, at least in terms of violence.
The excessive swearing will likely be dialled down, but Wade's gonna lampshade that shit anyway.
One Strip! One Strip!Looks like George R.R. Martin enjoyed Multiverse of Madness.

Crazy theory: Wanda of 838 will not be framed for the crimes she committed while possessed, but instead is forced to replace Captain Marvel as a member. (Assuming that Wanda really stole Maria's powers)
