Theory:
Strange clearly pops into a possible or alternate future, and that's where he sees Xavier. The fact that the evil version of Strange is in the same scene makes me think it's not alternate Strange and Xavier (IE Fox Xavier). I think that what it is, is a Bad Future of the Illuminati.
They're actually in a really good spot for it, come to think: the only members of the Illuminati not accounted for or coming soon are Tony and T'Challa, and the latter probably would've been on the table when when the movie was in its earlier stages.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Interesting note: the closed captions of the trailer refer to the evil Strange as Sinister Strange. Killer name, and I'm sure x-theorists will fucking lose it.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."And all the theorists who were hanging onto the belief that it was be Strange Supreme and that What If was a prequel for the movie will implode, as we all must eventually.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.depends on their surface area and overall mass
New theme music also a boxNew poster, featuring Captain Carter's shield in the bottom right.
x4 I could still see Supreme Strange cameoing, but I agree that the villainous-looking Strange is almost certainly a different variant.
Probably worth noting that the "reality unraveling" effect we see in the trailer is very similar to the effect we saw in Supreme Strange's episode, so there's definitely at least a little cross-pollination between What if? and Multiverse of Madness.
Hmm due to that fact maybe they're just calling Strange Supreme Sinister Strange and they're really the same?

You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midI would not be surprised if Uatu shows up at the end of this if Captain Carter is involved.
It's been 3000 years…Strange Supreme is too much of Anti-Villain and The Atoner to be the evil Strange. Sinister Strange is likely a more sociopathic Doctor Strange who has love for no one.
True, true.

It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midPlus Strange Supreme ends what if in a position where I think he knows nothing will make up for what he did so is fine with the punishment. Having at least got some atonement from keeping zola and killmonher trapped
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."You know, I love the hot takes basically proving Wanda's very much in the right to say, "we both break the rules, but you're the hero and I'm the bad guy and that's not fair". They say, "But Wanda brainwashed an entire town!" and I rebut, "Yes, Wanda brainwashed an entire town...accidentally, in her grief over the death of her lover. While Doctor Strange intentionally brainwashed the entire world and nearly caused the multiverse to collapse just so a kid could get into his preferred college."

The cold never bothered me anywayWell granted its less brainwash and more mind-wiping what Strange was going to do while Wanda wound up enslaving a whole town to her and refused to undo it for a while.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Funny, I think the TV Spot version has a few scenes not featured in the full trailer.
Huh I've heard some people say the glowy figure shooting at Wanda is actually Nova. Looking closely I think I can see a red something on the forehead and the colors do match somewhat.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Others say it's Captain Marvel.
The cold never bothered me anywayExcept, it is a variant of Captain Marvel.
Leaks say a Monica variant.
Wait? It does? Send me the link please.
It’s somewhere on the spoiler subreddit, don’t know where. I'm personally withholding any opinions until I see the movie, but it lines up with everything else shown here.

I wouldn't trust any one leek over any other though.
Also, I'm still expectig the big bad of this film to be Nightmare, manipulating Strange into further messing up this situation. The trailer literally opens with Strange being tormented by nightmares telling him to go save this gal who can travel through the multiverse, and then everythig hitting the fan and getting angry at him for dabbling in the multiverse.
Sounds like entrapment.
Nightmare was announced to be the villain when Scott Derrickson was still at the helm, not sure if Raimi changed anything about that.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI find it's best that unless a leak is explicitly vouched for by a source known to be reliable, it's best to dismiss it out of hand. While once in a long while one will turn out to be right, it's too easy to be convinced by a leak that includes what you want, or fear, to be true.
And I know there was already been some pretty well circulated "leaks" that have been heavily contradicted by what we've seen in the trailers.

That was a nice and sneaky way to put in Charles there.
