In spite of the removal of microtransactions, people are already encouraging to buy MultiVersus-related physical merch
in an attempt to provide funds over the 100 million dollar loss. I'm not really experienced about MultiVersus merch, but I'm not even sure if that money still goes to PFG or at least Warner Bros. Games at all...

Waiting to have my head disfigured and mounted on a wall. What a scam that is. Whoever is encouraging that should be ashamed. Even if people buy the merch this game is doomed. If they want merch for the sake of merch, fine. But don’t convince people to throw away their money for a vain hope.

Disgusted, but not surprisedTBF, there was a long gap between Bubsy 3D and Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back. The former was released in 1996 and the latter was released in 2017. Woolies did poorly too, but at least they went with a different studio for the next Bubsy game, Bubsy: Paws on Fire! (released in 2019). That one was...average. Which was still better than the previous two games.
The next Bubsy game isn't really a new game, but a collection of Bubsy media called Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection set to be released later this year.
Disgusted, but not surprisedThe Bubsy games are also... memetically garbage, which is its own sort of appeal. They're the game equivalent of a KFC Double Down, from a time where games like that were more common and (retroactively) endearing for trying and failing beautifully.
As mentioned, Multiversus failed twice within a short timespan while positing itself as the kind of game people could play forever. It doesn't have that same kind of "good" notoriety behind it, and sadly I think that reputation would follow it even if they reworked it into a legitimately solid retail game.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaThe issue with a sequel is that by now the brand name itself is toxic so they'd better off call it something else. Multiversus as a title is the two times loser.
Not sure about that. The impression I get is that people like the idea of the game and thought the actual gameplay was okay, but didn't like the monetization. Failure as a mobage isn't the same as failure for most other media. I think a retail release could work
Bubsy also has an ironic following. While the games haven’t been anything above average, there’s a decent amount of people that will buy a new game.
Get taxed. Idiot.According to a poll that went out during the beta, most of the audience (over 80%) falls within 13 and 24.
Granted, that poll only had 384 people answer, but the dev claimed to be using it to make decisions, so I think it counts as a reasonable estimate.
A good writer puts in a lot of details in there story. But a great one gets a story from a single detail. It's a pity, I do like this update a lot more than previous few. Like many have said before, if it relaunched playing like this, it would've had a much better time out of the gate.
I'll probably play it regularly while it lasts, but I'm not getting my hopes up for more.
They'll turn your world aroundAnother MVS fan continuation has been set up.
Even if the official game's going away for good following May, there's so much fan dedication to set up fan games and fan-run servers. Gotta try out either of them once they come out!
I do think stuff like this goes to show that people did believe in MVS and its overall concept and just want to see it continue in a better executed state, yeah. I'm curious to see where these fan continuations go (especially if they manage to add new characters).
As for MVS itself, wow, I must really be unlucky with the Rogue Rift this time. I'm about 130 boxes in and still haven't gotten the Nubia skin yet (I've been playing on Insanity). I feel like I got the Jason skin sooner. 😅 That said, since the only Valentin-Neon skins I have are Marvin and Lola, using Lola for the Rift made me realize that Lola can rack up damage really fast if you don't keep her at bay.
"Hey, least I didn't lose all my artistic talent when I crash landed in the arena here."
I believe they'd most likely go for a combination of both; after all, BetaMVS has Pickle Rick featured prominently in its advertising, and there are still plenty of fan suggestions not addressed anywhere in the unfinished official content.
I also wonder if they'd also manage to make BetaMVS and MVS Infinity compatible with each other, considering the former leans more towards the beta arrangement while the latter simply uses the full game's arrangement.
Also, I'm gonna leave this player icon HUD fan design
here. I believe the bigger icon would only be used for the POV player themselves.

Waiting to have my head disfigured and mounted on a wall.A subreddit for MVS Infinite has been set up
.
I just started playing the next rift. You know what’s odd? I’ve seen two skins that aren’t available to players in it- a version of Jason based on the crossover movie with Freddy, and Rick based on “Rick and Two Crows”.
