....Animation is a pretty important thing for an animated show, is all.
The new series's animation doesn't appeal to me. Just saying.
If they managed to replicate Spiderverse's animation on a Tv budget somehow, I'd probably tune in, but I can't really afford disney + anyhow.
Watch SymphogearWhile the animation's nowhere near as good as X-Men 97, it's not as bad as What If. And the controversy around Spidey's voice actor's comments aside, this also would be the debut of Pearl Pangan outside of comics so that's 1 thing to look forward to. At least she's voiced by a Chinese-Filipino actress or Chinoy in our slang.
Set! Avenge! "Henshin." Black General! Bujin Sword! Ready, Fight! The show is good so far. Looks like the point of divergence is Peter’s going to a different school than Midtown due to Doctor Strange trashing the place with a battle, hence no MJ or Ned.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight. It’s a possibility that they could show up.
Okay, finished both episodes and the show is excellent.

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight. There's also a comic that I think adapts the series, but I lost track of where it is in the story.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I also gotta open a image picking thread for this show as the current image is issue 1 of the comic.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.I've finished the first episode. It was fun enough, but I found the romance kinda cringe, which I suppose is appropriate for a show about teenagers. Also, no idea how old anyone is, or why Pete is in a class with a girl 2-3 years older than him. Was she held back? She should be finishing high-school, right?
Also, considering the blatant socio-political commentary of Pearl's boyfriend (Lincoln? Lonnie?) I get why the voice actor thought the show would be woke, since it, well, is? Not an expert on that stuff, but it was pretty obviously doing that.
Edit: Also! really liked the thing with the opening repeating, but with Spiderman this time. That was cool.

Read Otr of the Flame (She/Her)Peter’s a freshman here, so she’s probably a junior or senior.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight. The first 8 minutes of the first episode, including the series intro (7:14), has been uploaded by Marvel Entertainment.
I briefly get to gush how much I've been obsessed with "Neighbor Like Me", ever since we saw footage from D23 last year. The lyrics are meaty, full of good references, and really sum up the importance of Spidey's community impact that most takes (should) strive for. Plus, it's another variation of remixing the '60 theme song.
Funny observation in the comments regarding Spider-Man: Spider-Verse: Miguel is probably peeved that a version of Peter is technically a original anaolmy, just like our Miles of Earth 1616-B.
Re-Quitting. Sure, guys, go away and throw the rest of the staff under the train with the actor just because of something he said on his own volition.
The actual thing probably hurting this show is it's happening in a Spider-Man draught with the next MCU movie and the next Spiderverse movie nowhere in sight yet, plus it not being actually happening in either continuity might be not a hindrance, but it's not an obvious hook either way. Plus it's not visually dynamic enough and hero action toons rely on that more than animated comedies, which coast off more easily on writing alone.
Please remember that, ultimately, fictional works of entertainment are just that.

Would this work?
Look, I’m not gonna concern myself with the animation or one thing an actor on the show said. I’m gonna watch it tomorrow morning and report back on this thread.
