Honestly curious how they'll go with Viktor. I know a few things about him from the game, but the show is definitely going a different route in some ways (the Hex Core versus him turning himself into machinery)
My AO3I was looking for the name of the songs from the first three episodes (OST is still peak), and I ended up on a page that had the complete S2 track list - including songs from eps 4-9 that have yet to appear on Spotify for example.
And I saw that there was one song by Stromae. Which is doubly surprising because A/it's definitely going to be a song in French and B/Stromae has struggled with health and mental issues in the last few years (he cancelled his tour last year).
Can't wait for the next episodes.
Well, that certainly hit hard in some sequences.
Like, the watercolor sequences and Vanders flashback to the time before, filling out a bit of background fucked me a bit, not gonna lie.
Really love that they have gone even more experimental with some of the animation than season 1.
The one thing I am a bit worried about is the pacing. It already felt a bit frantic in act 1, but I feel it has gotten a little bit further from optimal in act 2. Like, I feel some of the changes happen a bit too fast to be properly digested.
I do hope they'll manage to tie up all the plot threads they have going, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, given they have been very good so far!
VIKTOR SAID THE THING!
Also have a few concerns about pacing, but I can see this wrapping up well. The only things that haven't neatly tied into the ongoing clusterfuck yet, or at least don't seem queued to do so, are where the hell are Ekko and the Donger (will presumably tie back to Jayce's thing, but weird they've been absent so long) and whatever the fuck the Black Rose is doing (hoping they'll go into more detail on their feud with Ambessa instead of saving it for the tie-in book or something, but they also might just be sequel bait).

I'm curious, is this a full on Alternate Continuity now, or will the final act fully tie itself into the events of League? Like Viktor rebuilding himself into the cruder design we're familiar with and Warrick gaining his full wolf features?

Goddammit I sure as well hope they’re not killing off Isha already. That would just be cheap.
I do find things are going a little too fast in general. We barely had time to get familiar with the Herald village and the whole "dictator Caitlyn" thing was brushed over. Also Maddie became Cait’s mistress for like 2 seconds.
But man that hug scene hit hard.
I do feel like Cait’s redemption moment came a bit fast and could have used more buildup, but I do like this batch a lot.
FUCK NOT ISHA!

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.I have made the choice to wait for Act 3 to watch Act 2. I feel like I should have done that with Act 1 too.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadAnd once again Jayce managed to fuck everything up. I mean, it was obvious that nice things could not last, but it's very often this MF doing things because he knows better than anyone else. At least this time it doesn't seem to only be him involved.
This show really is designed like a tragedy, and a pretty good one at that. The flashback hammered it even further by having the girl's mother being a friend to both Vander and Silco. And I hate that the family scenes hit so hard despite obviously being doomed - the hug, and the, erm, literal Papa Wolf one.
So we got our big Vi/Jinx fight… how is this gonna end? Vi, Cait, and Jinx against Ambessa/Victor/The Black Rose/The Krampus/Your Mom/Some other villain I don’t know about?
JUST LET OUR GIRLS BE A FAMILY AND SPARE ISHA!
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight. The thing I'm wondering is how they're going to give closure to everything without, you know, actually giving closure, assuming we're ending with the status quo from lore. Like, by the end of everything, Viktor should still be doing experiments in Zaun, Warwick should still be rampaging around, Jinx should still be a terrorist hunted by Cait and Vi. The only thing that's almost definitely going to happen is Piltover—or more specifically just the leadership of Mel, Jayce and Cait—resuming their plans to grant Zaun independence once everything is said and done.
Well considering Heimerdinger wasn’t hiding his species like he would be in the games, I think we can assume this will be a new continuity, which gives me hope things can end up better for our girls.

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.![]()
This was already said above, but the show is the new dominant lore. Things like the Donger's disguise are minor in the grand scheme of things, old canon stuff like that can be ignored when it's more trouble than it's worth to include, but the character relationships—again, assuming we'll end at the status quo, which admittedly is only an assumption—aren't so easy to radically change.
Yeah, this is def some Void shit. I do like how they tied it into the Jayce/Viktor feud, it's pretty close to their canon falling out. Viktor's apparently getting an update in the game, but I hope whatever is going on here doesn't make him into too much of a Malzahar (current Void prophet guy) 2.0

In all seriousness, who do we think the final boss of the show will be?
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.
x4 About Malzahar: Tbf Malzahar is specifically Bel'veth's prophet and Bel'veth is her own Void faction, so there's probably a bit of wiggle room to make him not just Malz 2. Unfortunately Viktor's orange palette is probably going bye bye, which is a shame because there isn't really another faction with that bright orange going on.

Sevika being a new chararter...I can see it, but using a luck based power would fuck whatever strategy it can be use for her so yeah probably a update again.
"Then they gradually fleshed out the biggest of the nations which were shared among the existing heroes and consolidated all other characters into them, some of which got redesigned / rewritten / race-swapped to fit. "
Granted no all changed have being uniform: fiddlestick too 3 redising in lore BEFORE becoming the elderich abomination of fear we know of it today and funny thing, Viktor still talk like a expy of Ultron in league. So I wonder if the game will eventually go in line with arcane
