I literally just started playing this yesterday what the hell aaaah information overload.
I see that the PS 4 is stuck outside of the crossplay fun again so I can't play with my PC friends... Lame.
You are not alone.FOR ROCK AND STONE!
I mean uh, the game's cross play is limited to only Xbox One and Windows 10 Store version
so really there's probably most players being unable to play with the other kinds too.
The last time any Steam forums provided a worthwhile statement to me was realizing that someone made a very comprehensive guide to artillery units in Ultimate General: Civil War, and such a guide could of course instead be found by checking the game's guides section while avoiding the Steam forums entirely.
I had a moment in a Hearthstone mission where after we reached the chamber, a wind tunnel launched me high in the air and made me go splat on a ledge far above. If it wasn't for my friend being the Scout, I'd be stuck up there unless my other friend slowly dug his way up to me.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Oh Stingtail, what have they done to you?
I was never one of those "I hate the Rockpox!" grumbaki, though I have to admit, it is good to see the world map without any infection zones on it, and being able to do a mission without the interruption of a meteor shower or Harold (though it's a shame there's still gunk all over my Space Rig). And the new Weapon Maintenance system gives that feeling of progression I've missed since finishing the season and getting all my overclocks and cores, not to mention an incentive to use all the weapons instead of just the "best" ones. Or in the Scout's case, use anything other than the M1000 with the Hoverclock.
I'm going to have to level the GK2 and Drak-25 in games with Steam friends, I can't be splatting in front of randos.
Apropos of nothing, but just in time for the end-of-year Steam sale, it's Tacitus' Deep Rock Galactic Cosmetic DLC Tier List.
Low Tier:
- Decontaminator: Just doesn't do it for me. The free Builder's Choice and Mechanized weapon skins look better in my opinion, and don't have the distracting moving graphics on them.
- Megacorp: The weapons look alright, I guess, if you're after the rounded-boxy near-future aesthetic, but you can do just as well with some of the free skins you can find in Cargo Crates.
- Rival Tech: Good if you want immediate access to glowy weapons, but said glow doesn't quite jive with the Dark Future neon strips, and the weapon aesthetics don't look dwarfy at all, for obvious reasons.
Mid Tier:
- Biohazard: The hazmat suits are a little bland for my tastes (though they look nicely steampunk-y with the Scale Brigade paintjob), but I really appreciate the helmets, especially the "upper" variant - combined with the Industrial Facemask "beard," you can have an all-concealing gas mask/helmet with glowing eyes to go with the Dark Future armor, without sacrificing the upper chestplate.
- Dawn of the Dread: An acquired taste, certainly, but if you want your Kratos or Dwarf Trollslayer cosplay, this is the way to go, and of course it perfectly matches the free Glyphid Trophy Hunter weapon skins you might find in the mines. The accompanying paintjobs are also visually interesting. I'd rate it higher if I hadn't experienced so many friendly fire incidents involving the armor.
- Supporter Upgrade: I AM A GLORIOUS GOLDEN GOD! Though the paintjob is admittedly kind of garish, and I'm annoyed what it does to the emblems on the Scale Brigade armor and weapon skins, making them dull and dark.
- Supporter II Upgrade: Honestly, the pirate-y weapon skins are too ornate - or rather the wrong kind of ornate - for me to ever use, but the helmet is classy, the somber black-and-gold armor paint looks great, and I love how the brighter gold weapon paintjob looks with some of the Fourth Relic skins.
High Tier:
- Dark Future: It's a bit cyperpunk for the setting, and the helmets are just dull wedges, but the armor still looks great, especially if you find some of the free Neon Band weapon skins in some Cargo Crates. This is also currently the only way to get a simple all-black paintjob for your weapons. Maybe you can argue that the glowing lights on the armor is a safety measure, so you're more visible to your teammates in the dark?
- Robot Rebellion: Great post-apocalyptic armor, and great armor and weapon paints that look battered and weathered, all perfect to go with the free Waster weapon skins. And if you want your Driller to look like a member of the Village People, this is for you.
- Roughneck: Simply put, my favorite non-Scale Brigade armor. The only downside is that you'll start wondering why you can't get the tattoos from the pack to appear on the bare arms of other armor sets.
Never go into a driller hole...
Lesson learned: don't disturb the Driller in it's natural habitat. It responds to stress with C4 packs and zero regard for it's personal safety

Opting out of the Lithophage after you finish the season pass, newest enemies tweaks, guns and overclock changes, and weapon skin progression from using them is releasing tomorrow.
