Yeah, so was I.
Happy Monday everyone! Season 7 begins! To start us off in a new journey we have “Vampires Rise Pt. 1”
The heroes get a not at all suspicious letter from the Court of Vampires inviting Debra, Jack, Timothy, Maverick, and Athena to a grand banquet. The heroes are understandably suspicious but you don’t turn down an invitation from the Court of Vampires for obvious reasons and so go anyways. Rachel also tags along despite not being invited.
It turns out that the Vampires are still out to get Maverick and are trying to find any possible way within Vampire law to do it. After a very uncomfortable dinner where Lady Midnight acts as creepy as ever while delivering exposition and trying to convince Maverick to join them and Miranda is oddly flirtatious towards Athena (and not in a funny way either). A fight breaks out which is pretty epic (though there’s no dragon form. Probably saving that for an appropriately dramatic moment) (all of the characters involved have fought full powered Venomians so, with the exception of Maverick who’s still recovering from his altercation with Mordred, Timothy who’s able to think his way out of most situations, and Rachel who does a pretty good job keeping mooks off their back so they can focus on the big fish, they’re all more or less in the same weight class, even Lady Midnight) and they almost escape but its revealed that, to prevent Vampire wars, Dracula set in place a magic rule that when a Vampire attacks another Vampire the one attacking and their allies (if said allies are Vampires) becomes a slave to the one being attacked, all the while fully conscious. And Maverick attacked Lady Midnight. Thus, everyone is captured and thrown in a cell.
I really like how they portrayed Dracula in the backstory. Especially the recreation of his death scene which could have been lifted straight from the book.
My favorite lines:
Jack: Yeah, I know. The movie’s better, though.
Rachel: What! Jack, I thought I knew you! The book is clearly far superior and you know it!
Rachel: What are you going to do about it, witch?
[Everyone Looks at Her]
Rachel: What? So I didn’t swear. Is that really a bad thing?
Hmmm... I really liked this one, may be my favorite in fact, but I can't help but wonder... Lady Midnight's dragon form is probably three or four levels above the rest of the heroes... why wouldn't she just use it to kill them and capture Maverick? Interesting... can't wait to see what's next <3
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindBecause using it in the first fight would be kind of lame and anticlimactic. That's a real final boss form if I've ever seen one. Also, again, she's really into those laws.
Side note: Which side of the family do you think Edgar's Harker blood comes from? I'm guessing his mom because we've met his dad and its made pretty clear he's Puerto Rican.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."Probably his mom if had to guess. Also the reason I brought up her dragon form is because, even if she respects the laws, she always was a bit of a Combat Pragmatist if it meant a fight could end quickly, y'know?
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindSometimes sacrifices must be made for what would be cool. And anticlimactically ending the fight with a dragon would not be cool. Plus even for a castle that's a small banquet hall and even a normal fight would (and did) leave it a mess. Imagine how much damage a dragon would cause.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."You think we're gonna meet Edgar's parents this season? I mean, the last time a notable character's parents were alluded to, not only did we get to meet Metis, but we also found out that Xerxes is Athena's biological father. They could be gearing up for a huge reveal.
"Hmm... it appears that browsing this wiki doesn't seem to violate any school rules. Continue." | My WallLike I said, we've met his dad. All we've got on his mom is that she was "On an expedition."
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."Wow an Action Girl? Sounds like a certain character from Dracula... just sayin'
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindHow do you think that "expedition" is going? Is she still alive? What if she's not actually on an expedition, but Edgar was told that to cover up her actual whereabouts?
"Hmm... it appears that browsing this wiki doesn't seem to violate any school rules. Continue." | My WallFairly certain Mina's dead, but if she's the side the Harker blood comes from she's probably a descendant.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."If Mina is still alive she must have still staid a vampire... of course that could only be the case if the writers took some liberties with the original story
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindI highly doubt she'd cheat on Jonathan, though. Even after he dies.

"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."True... unless on his deathbed he told her it was ok for her to move on
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindare we doing a new part everyday or week? Or is it just going to be on the 23 like normal?
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindIt's every Monday and Thursday I believe. Unless BackSet's wanting to change it up.
I’m gonna put some Gloom in your eye.thanks <3
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindHave you ever wondered what a fighting game based on this show would be like?

"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."Theories about Hanako?
He can, however, feel sad, like when his wife left him.Janky with a constantly changing meta whenever they add a new character. Also loot boxes. Lots of loot boxes.
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindSounds more like a battle royale.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."Whose to say it can't be both?
Some call it stalking, I say walking just extremely close behindI'm... not sure those genres are compatible.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."They can be if you're brave enough.
He can, however, feel sad, like when his wife left him.
I was imagining like 21 or something.
I’m gonna put some Gloom in your eye.
