Buddy, nothing can top the Venomian mech card. Not even one of those cards where Mundus lends you a hand by casting a powerful spell.

Checking in on this account after leaving the site, MAN that is a cringy forum post history. Daaamn. Never again.Yeah but those mechs are so hit or miss. You either give a Curb-Stomp Battle or waste several turns of preparation
Best advice I ever got? Keep repeating the joke till everyone is forced to laugh.I'll be honest, I bought some of the cards because I'm the type of person to look at the art on them instead of using them as intended.
That said, the art Alex Milne (artist for The Transformers (IDW)) did for the Venomia cards is so unbelievably good. I really wish I could've gotten those limited-edition card sleeves they were giving out that had his art on them.
You should see the full-art cards for the High Command all connected together! I really love how their respective mechs are in the background of their individual cards, it's such a lovely touch.
"She is a girl" - THE HAMLET GLUTTONNow that I think of it, are there any arcs that everyone likes? it seems like all of them are listed under Broken Base.
I couldn't think of anything to put here but not having one makes me look like a noobSecond Installment. The First Arc was just an Episodic Bleach Clone. Russia was where it got real.
Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldI will tell you this:
The France arc is almost unanimously considered to be the weakest story arc of the whole show. Episode plots and storytelling were generally weaker (especially compared to the likes of Grand Tower), the slice-of-life and character-focused "Interlude" episodes were just straight-up terrible (and relegated to a side-series after this arc's respective season concluded), art direction quality was broadly lower and had some of the worst offending examples of inconsistent designs within the show's lifespan (seriously, if I didn't know anything about this show and you showed me the designs for Serena and Athena side to side I would've thought they were from two different shows), the quality of the action scenes and background music declined notably, I could go on.
There's a good reason why things slowed down so much then.
"She is a girl" - THE HAMLET GLUTTONOkay, so we didn't really talk about yesterday's new episode, did we?
It was titled "Standoff". With Giuliana's people gone for the moment and the fate of a lot of the vampires up in the air, our heroes and the Quarters are more focused on each other. Jack wasn't happy with Jonathan calling in the Quarters, while Jonathan notes that they didn't have many options.
The Quarters want Cann back, and moreover they want Jack to either give his powers back to them or become a proper member of the organization. Neither Jack nor Cann are very happy with this idea, and it looks like another fight is brewing.
And then Nero comes back. He's managed to survive the destruction of the building he was in, but Petra was hurt pretty badly to the point she may not make it. The episode ends with the Quarters saying that they can help Petra, for a price.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.I hope so, there hasnt been a character death in forever. I'm getting bored
Best advice I ever got? Keep repeating the joke till everyone is forced to laugh.Although I thought she would be the one to kick the bucket, I don't see Petra dying here. It's very Oo C for the heroes to let anyone die. also, I just updated the master doc up to this episode.

I couldn't think of anything to put here but not having one makes me look like a noobHey guess what! We're getting close to Venomia Chronicles' release date! They dropped a trailer again!
Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldYeah, it was really nice to have that in the Direct as a break from all the JRPG's. (man, I wish.) It still looks like it's gonna be great, and I'm excited about the Demo!

I couldn't think of anything to put here but not having one makes me look like a noobWhen I was first watching a couple of the Grand Tower episodes when they were first airing, I had a sort of "oh, he's kinda neat" reaction when I first saw Dvorak (technically Ramirez too?) but now I'm really not a fan of how much he won fights simply because the plot needed him to.
I kinda wish that instead of going all "*blasts you with dark magic* ah, gottem ggs" they expanded more on Dvorak as a character, his motivations, and why he thought Ramirez was worthy of being his vessel. Kinda like what they did in "Powerslave" from the Cult Arc, which explained that Ramirez wanted Dvorak to possess him. And while their whole thing made them being powerful make sense (adding up their individual power), Dvorak being completely unbeatable didn't. They could still both be defeated individually, so they shouldn't be the absolute strongest, y'know?
Most of the time it felt like Dvorak was less of a compelling villain and more like everyone else was fighting the story itself because the endgoal needed to be "he and Ramirez couldn't be beaten and our heroes got the Good Magic MacGuffin Crystals and went to the big magic tower to keep them away."
...that and character designs are a massive make-or-break for me, so when I actually got to watching Grand Tower and noticed how Dvorak looks like a shitty Ectonurite I was less than impressed.
