And thus Code White ends. I'm still not big on Teruto getting the grand, final battle, but his duel with Higuma is overall my favorite match in the series. Drawing Bloom twice in a row is pure protagonist power and I love it.
Everyone gets to return to the real world, and there are some hints of a sequel there, the big one being Naomitsu continuing Higuma's research. I'm also curious if Sakura (whose becoming human was a preditable asspull) is going to have her own story arc. She even asked for a cute mascot companion.
I'm not even going to pretend I like the finale. Refusing to let anyone get an even remotely unhappy ending, trying to forcefully humanize Higuma at the last second- it's all so cheap and shallow to me.
Everyone survives, the real world seems to have no problems anymore and even the villain is allowed to just continue being in a real body, despite previously having none left (unless the white robes are a metaphor for him watching on from the afterlife, but that sure isn't made clear at all). I also just really don't like that they refuse to let Sakura's story be even remotely bittersweet. I like her, but I want there to be a point to her not being a real girl, to just be an extension of Kikka. Have them fuse, have Sakura melancholically look on from the virtual world as she turns around and does something else- anything else! Don't just place her into the real world as a pseudo-god who now refuses to go see the people she wants to see. It's so incredibly half-assed, I swear.

Higuma is one hell of a boring final boss.
Like his design is cool, but his character and motivations are incredibly shallow.
