I think one possible reason it hasn't attracted any examples is because it's being presented as a "law" or general tendency rather than a trope. And it's a bit much to call it a "law" because it only pertains to certain works.
But yeah, plenty of examples are out there. Jon Arbuckle from Garfield being a particularly notable example (at least for the first 30-40 years of the strip).

It's really a common problem with Laws and Formulas tropes... Eleven "Sliding Scale of X" tropes are not thriving, may make a thread this or next month. But send back to tlp at the very least.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Isn't this already covered by All Love Is Unrequited and Unrequited Love Switcheroo?
Oh, I was waiting for this to open to say that all the examples on this page are already covered by other tropes. This is how they can be sorted: Casanova Wannabe (Master Roshi & Johnny Bravo), No Guy Wants to Be Chased (Jotaro), Celibate Hero (1st example in Dragon Ball [which is a subversion], Hachiman, Jotaro again), Hopeless Suitor (Yui), All Love Is Unrequited (Martha Jones), Dude Magnet (Yukino). Most of these tropes are on their entries anyway.

and ![]()
; this already feels covered.
Cut. There are existing indexes like The Singles Index and Unrequited Love Tropes.

In case my postion isn't clear enough; I vote to cut.
Now, should we make a crowner for this? With these options:
- Send it to TLP.
- Cut.
- Turn it into a supertrope.
- Disambiguate between the other tropes it covers.
It's too soon to call. At least three days need to pass since it was hooked.
Edit: Fixed a typo. I've slept since I made said typo.

I got a rock for Halloween.
Crown Description:
What to do with the page?

This trope was created in 2012 and until last month when I brought it up in ATT
, it had no on-the-page examples at all. It still only has 10 wicks, three of which link to "needs help" pages.
I think it's probably tropeworthy, and yet I can't think of a single example to actually help fill it out. Perhaps the launch pad could help?
