Character-Specific Pages (CSPs) are created when individual characters have so many trope examples that they can't reasonably be included on a shared page.
The Administrivia Character-Specific Pages policy details the rules that apply to these pages. All Character-Specific Pages must also follow the basic How to Create a Character Page policy, as well as the wiki's more general policies about spoilers and examples.
This cleanup thread handles the following tasks:
- Reviewing and approving new CSP proposals. All new potential CSPs must be reviewed and, if necessary, cleaned up before they're created.
- Agreeing on page names for new CSPs.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a new CSP is created.
- Reviewing existing CSPs if there's a concern that they need cleanup, or if it's believed that the character may no longer qualify for a page.
- Merging existing CSPs into other character pages when necessary.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a CSP is removed/merged.
- Creating, updating and cutting redirects, as necessary, to reflect these splits and merges.
Crowners are not normally required but, where appropriate, can be used to formalise decisions on any of these points.
If a character no longer qualifies for a CSP, it's often more practical to turn the CSP into a redirect than to cut the page entirely. This keeps the page history visible to users, and also helps to steer offsite 'inbound' traffic (search engine results) to the right place. With that in mind, cut requests for CSPs may be declined and referred to this thread if they don't have a clear consensus.
Comments linking back to this thread can be added to CSPs when needed - e.g. to confirm their creation was approved, to warn tropers that a cleanup is in progress, or to note the date and outcome of a more recent review.

Mod update 07 Mar 2024, reflecting new CSP policy, updated again 22 Mar 2024 to mention redirects for removed CSPs
- Other options must have been tried first, like splitting pages into further groups.
- The character's folder is cleaned up beforehand, fixing any Zero-Context Examples and Wall of Text entries and removing any outdated, misused, or non-character tropes.
- A character's folder is at least 6,000 words/40,000 characters (with spaces). Here is a byte counter.note
- The current character page bypasses technical limitations and requires a split up.
- A single character takes up the majority of a page or is disproportionately bigger than other folders.
Splitting a character into their own page is a major change and needs to be run by the community before it is enacted. Even if you believe a character meets these requirements, they should be run through this thread first. Having other tropers take a look can help spot issues you may not notice or believe to be issues.
Per How to Create a Character Page, character-specific pages should only include tropes that describe the character. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly). If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask the Are these Character Tropes? thread.
If you have concerns with a general character page, they have their own separate cleanup thread, as do the self-demonstrating character pages.

So, Characters.Persona 5 The Phantom Thieves Of Hearts is 142,599 bytes large and all of the characters have their own pages and above 40k bytes. Should we leave them be or merge the smaller pages back?

Meanwhile, Characters.Persona 5 Palace Rulers is 110,586 bytes while Characters.Persona 5 Suguru Kamoshida is 53,307 bytes. Also, Characters.Persona 5 Endgame Antagonists is only 20,045 bytes, while Characters.Persona 5 Yaldabaoth is 80,108 bytes, Characters.Persona 5 Masayoshi Shido is 128,509 bytes and Characters.Persona 5 Takuto Maruki is 144,164 bytes. Kamoshida's page could be safely merged back to Palace Rulers, and Yaldabaoth and Shido's pages could also be merged back, as the Endgame Antagonists' page would become more than 228k bytes. Maruki's page is too large to be merged back. Should I hold off on merging Shido's page or is it fine?
- Rean is fine. The page is at 200k and doesn't seems to be in a state that needs cleanup.
- Crow is at 51k and isn't long, but Characters.Trails Series Erebonia Thors Class VII Original is also a little too long (236k). I'd find a way to split that page first and merge Crow into one of them.
- Osborne (67k) might be merged into bigger pages.
- Rufus (67k) should be merged into Characters.Trails Series Erebonia Ironblood (32k).

- Noelle (50k) and Birdly (44k) can go back to Characters.Deltarune Lightners (74k)
- Towa (60k) and Takuma (44k) should be merged into Characters.Slow Damage Main Characters (70k)

- Merging Gabriel, Chloe and Lila back into villains would bring the Villains Page to 313,828 characters/314,439 bytes, so here's what I would do with their pages:
- Keep Gabriel's page due it being the longest of the pages (If we don't merge him back, the page will be around 217,344 bytes, that's big enough for him to remain split). Though it should probably be moved to Characters.Miraculous Ladybug Gabriel Agreste to keep the page consistent with the other Character Specific Pages and because Gabriel will likely not be the only character to use the identity of "Hawk Moth", as it's implied in Timetagger and the Season 5 Finale that Lila will take the moniker of Hawk Moth for herself.
- Remerge Chloe's and Lila's pages with the villains page for now, though either or both of them could be split-off again in the future due to the page only being around 40k bytes short of the 250k byte count with them merged back and the show's still ongoing, so the page (and especially Lila's folder due to the Season 5 Finale setting her up as the new Big Bad will likely grow in byte count to the point of needing them to be split off again.

Hey, not gonna name names, but people, please only remove the character pages from the list and the byte count AFTER you've merged them back. The Deltarune ones have been removed from Video Games, but they still exist, which is a problem.

I've been looking through CSP's in Genshin Impact because there are a lot of them and I think we should merge Characters.Genshin Impact Arlecchino (44k characters) into Characters.Genshin Impact Harbingers (113k characters).
Her trope list will certainly grow in version 4.6 since she is becoming playable though. Currently it is divided in folders A-E, F-P and Q-Z. Is it possible to keep these inside Arlecchino's folder in the Harbingers page, or should I remove them when merging?

#3807 I already brought up Deltarune earlier, and I pretty much agree with all the changes except Card Castle Royalty needs to be merged back into Card Kingdom, it's not big enough to stand on its own.
Bumping my query from this post here.
I forgot to mention, but that characters page got the warning about it getting too big/long as it is 300K bytes.
