~Piterpitcher, like with Improvised Sail, this can use some crosswicking. Let's try that first.
Edit. Time to reignite this thread for discussion, since I cannot get the wicks into the 20's. How about we yard this trope, since the concept is salvageable?

Got it to 18 + those two Administrivia indices (coupla OP Es were not crosswicked). Three more examples anyone?
However, I'd prefer to merge with the supertrope Hard-to-Light Fire than cut.
If we want to keep this trope as is, yarding seems like the best option — the description could also use some fleshing out. Otherwise, it could conceivably also be merged with Hard-to-Light Fire.
I'd prefer to merge with Hard-to-Light Fire. Doesn't help that the trope name is confusingly similar to Down to the Last Play — I didn't know that the trope was about starting fires until I clicked on the thread.

I got a rock for Halloween.Mainly voting for merging so that those few valid examples have a place to go for the present and not be stuck in TRS limbo. I'd rather they be under Hard-to-Light Fire for now and be split off later (we can even catalogue splittable examples here to make the splitting easier) than wait for someone to make them a trope, maybe, in the vague future.
I don't mind yarding this idea and also merging some of the examples into Hard-to-Light Fire, at least as a way to keep them around for the future.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallYard it, it does sound like a valid trope to me (though perhaps with a different name, as it could get confused for Down to the Last Play)
Y'ALL JUST GOT SHREKTI say merge. I think it wasn't thriving bc it became a Forgotten Trope now that got replaced with lighters, which Hard-to-Light Fire already covers. Not worth salvaging.

Don't expect much.Opinions on this seem pretty split (I prefer merging into the supertrope and leaving the option of a TLP draft on the condition that a Standing number of examples can be found — evaluated based on 4+ years, not newly made).
We will need a Page Action crowner here. Here's my attempt to summarize;
- A) Move examples to the TLP Salvage Yard.
- B) Move examples to the supertrope.
- C) Cut the page.
Mutually exclusive with D
- D) Redirect the page to the supertrope.
Mutually exclusive with C
Why would that be true? Are you misunderstanding the title? It means "match" as in a "matchstick", not a "fight".
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallBoth moving examples to Hard-to-Light Fire and redirecting to Hard-to-Light Fire have high amounts of consensus in favor of them, but are they mutually exclusive? By that, I mean does the former mean cutting Down to the Last Match entirely after moving examples, while the latter means keeping Down to the Last Match as a redirect after moving examples?

What would be the best way to fix the page?

Has existed since 2010, but there are only 11 wicks. that means Starving on Wick, so it's not performing well enough. I vote cut.
