Well, I watched the entire thing. You can basically copy-and-paste PanPizza's review of the show from a few days ago as my thoughts on the first season. A good start. Picked up more in the second half of the season. Though I have to agree with a friend that the show unfortunately just felt like "Gravity Falls without censors" for a good chunk of the season, which isn't great considering that this isn't his show. It's Shion Takeuchi's show. It's possible that everyone calling it his show just messed with my perception of it, though.

Slightly more detailed thoughts: I enjoyed the finale, but I felt the rest of the gang coming back to fight Reagan's bear fell a bit flat. I could believe that Reagan and Brett became good friends over the course of the season, and they struck a nice dynamic that I'll be happy to see more of in the next season. Him staying to help Reagan and her father? Makes sense. Her other co-workers coming back? Eh. They could have had a few more moments where they aren't criticizing the fuck outta her and did some proper bonding.

And for a show that likes its call-back jokes and carrying plot details forward, I'm surprised they didn't do more foreshadowing for the reveal that Reagan's father erased her memories. Maybe there was and I just need to rewatch it, but I think everything revolving around that was contained to this episode to serve as a capstone for all the bullshit that Rand put her through as a kid. The emotional gut punch still works mind you, so I can't complain too much. And the final scene revealing that Rand controls the company now was a fantastic Sequel Hook.

Finally, here's the full theme song.... technically. The show uses an instrumental version that really turns down all the vocal samples. (Which I hope we get soon.)

Finished watching it, I generally enjoyed it but I couldn't avoid to see it as a weird mix of Futurama, Rick & Morty and Gravity Falls (with a pinch of the sadly forgotten Ugly Americans if you want). The idea is fairly novel, I liked the humor and I'm not against the use of references... but honestly, even though I knew it was an office comedy but weirder, I hoped that they focused more on the actual conspiracies and crazy shenanigans instead of the character relationships.

Personally I found all the characters to be unlikable jerks and, while that is the point (and Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist is a thing), after a while I didn't really care much about them since they're so one-note (stressed overachiever, sassy black woman, genius stoner, Bender-esque hedonist, etc.). Ironically the one who's supposed to be the vapid, blank-slate unremarkable figure is the one who has the most character development in a sense.

I liked the animation too, though the actual style is fairly generic "2010s animated adult sitcom" and I hoped to see something wackier once in a while. I have to say however that I enjoyed their genre spoofs (of 80s nostalgia and James Bond spy stories) more than the parodies in Rick & Morty which honestly have become stale and redundant.

"Effective Altruism" is just another bunch of horsesh*t.

I finished the first season. I loved it and want a second season. I thought it was funny and I eventually got invested in ninety percent of the cast.

Interview with the creator. Would have posted this earlier, but I didn't want to double-post.

I didn't like that they made Buzz Aldrin a villain, since A) he's still alive and B) he's one of the very, very few people that just about everyone can agree is an actual, real-life hero and role model.

I did like everything else about the show. Looking forward to season two.

EDIT: Oh, and as a huge Donkey Kong fan, I absolutely lost it when the reptoids talked about getting King K. Rool in Smash Bros. That's my favorite joke so far.

This show is very much up my alley. I really like the characters, and they feel like they have far more depth to them than Rick and Morty’s cast ever did. The attempts to explore said depth were also really good, and definitely better than when Rick and Morty tried to do the same thing, which didn’t work because the Smith family were all just assholes, and that was basically it. Here, we get real insight into the characters, mainly Reagan and Brett, who are two very engaging leads throughout. And it’s also really funny, and insanely creative with its premise. Is this what watching a good adult cartoon is like? I believe it is.

Definitely feel that guy is going to turn out to be her brother and her dad probably sold him to the Illuminati for a promotion/benefits.

So based on the two teasers shown already, did Brett also chicken out of Reagan's coup or did he just get sidetracked for some reason? It would be weird for Brett of all characters to not back up Reagan, since he's always been ride or die for her, he's not a big fan of Rand either, nor has he shown himself to be a coward.

Another new trailer. They seem to be placing a lot of emphasis on this Ron guy, so he’ll probably be important in some capacity.

Oh god.

Ron(ald) Reagan.

Is this it? Is this why I think they’re siblings? God if it turns out there’s a third sibling Rand sold for his own gain and he named them Ald I’m gonna go crazy.

If he wasn't also going for the alliteration in the names he probably would have named Reagan "Margaret" instead.

Ummmm... I think this might be the new Bo Jack Horseman. That final episode WRECKED ME.

Also, you’re probably grateful to learn that Ron and Reagan are not, in fact, siblings. I can’t believe that’s something I have to praise a show on now, but Rick and Morty just destroyed itself that thoroughly.

I liked it.

It'll be interesting to see where it goes from here, what with what came about, though they did get a little excessively lampshady at times, especially in the later episodes. I don't feel like it was that lampshady in the previous season. If the writers are having fun with it though, I suppose it's okay.

Pretty strong overall though, I hope more of this happens.

Season had a bit of a rough start. I'm not a big fan of "Oh, look, it's [insert celebrity here]" kinda plots, and they were awfully heavy on that. Got a lot better after those initial episodes, though. Good stuff on that season closer too.

EDIT: and seriously, if you're going to lampshade friggin' plotholes, maybe you shouldn't have written them in to begin with.
