We have some images for the series, which premieres October 22.
Jam Filled Entertainment is working on the show.

Oh hey, I actually forgot about this one. Nice to see it's not dead. Just from the visuals, it looks to be retaining that GF aesthetic on its sleeve.
Yup, that is definitely something out of Gravity Falls. ![]()

(Incidentally, is Kindle even a thing anymore? Or has Audible made that obsolete?)
Kindles, as a service or physical devices, are still very much around
. Amazon also owns Audible, so it's a win-win for them garnering the attention of book enthusiasts.
I was wondering if this is Jam Filled Entertainment's first adult animation project, but I'm reminded that they've also worked on Final Space.
So we agree that this is pretty much Gravity Falls for adults, yeah?
Because a lot of it really feels like something that would happen in GF were it not for the Disney thing and I don't see the problem with it.
Highlights:
- Using robot arms to flip four birds at once.
- "Everyone remember to do time cards! TIME CARDS!"
- Gary the sniper.
- Sheeple.
- Mr. Mothman.
- Yale ("the Harvard of not being Harvard") and Actual Yale.
- "Tell this thing I never saw Training Day! I turned it off when I realized it wasn't an exercise video."

I actually tried the number. Good thing I set it on speakerphone in low volume because if I didn't, my ears would have probably bled so hard when they were trying to erase my memory.
Other secret messages I saw:
- "Don't trust the robot."
- "Aliens are real, but they are very boring. The Pentagon has a secret extra side. It's actually a hexagon. Tell anyone and you're a dead man. There was a third Olsen triplet named Stacey-May Olsen. She had powers beyond any mortal. We pray she never breaks out of her holding cell."
October 22 can't come soon enough!

Transcribing the backwards message from the phone call:
Your memory is now gone. You'll forget this entire day and go watch The Big Bang Theory, and warm the delicious Chicken Fiesta bowl from T.G.I. Fridays.
Alex Hirsch just shadowdropped this series' intro on his Twitter account
. Here's a YouTube reupload for convenience:
So why's there no discussion on this cartoon yet when it just came out yesterday? Anyways, I checked out Inside Job and while it was fairly entertaining for what it was, I can't help but think that it feels highly derivative of a lot of other recent adult animated comedies.
It was kinda groan-worthy at times, just how much of the show's conflict revolved around the protagonist's Freudian Excuses and literal Daddy Issues (which I've been seeing too much lately) rather than the Conspiracy Kitchen Sink setting. While I liked the social satire, the vast majority of the show's jokes are overly reliant on mentioning (recent) pop-cultural references, which are just going to date it very strongly with time.
Also just an observation I noticed: there were never (directly) any jokes, mentions, or plotlines within this show which concerned COVID. I wonder why? Were the writers too afraid of accidentally validating COVID conspiracy theories?

Likely because of Animation Lead Time, they started production before 2020 and didn't fit it in anywhere.

Only because they already established that one of the main characters was from the center of the Hollow Earth. And the Moon landing wasn't (completely) a hoax, they were just hiding Aldrin's and Armstrong's crazy Space Opera shenanigans that happened up there. They also refused to touch on 9/11 conspiracy theories besides a throwaway joke about how even they won't talk about which one is "real".
If this show gets renewed for a Season 2 (which it likely will), I hope they expand on the Conspiracy Kitchen Sink much more, rather than just using it as a backdrop for the Dysfunctional Family antics which I've already seen a hundred times before in other adult animated sitcoms.
Well, that was pretty good. It had some funny jokes, a strong voice cast, and it managed to make me want to strangle another top contender for Worst Dad Ever by the end of it.
Seems like the kind of show that gets better in season 2 as well, so I'm looking forward to that.

Finally finished season one and oh my god that finale. I didn't like Rand so much to begin with, but holy shit. I wonder if we'll get to see what Orin's up to now in season 2?
It’s not about the desti-something, it’s about the whatever.I’m really liking the trailers I’ve seen for this. The idea of satirizing conspiracy theories and the fiction they inspire by shifting the Sympathetic P.O.V. to the conspirators, showing just how brains-oozing-out-your-ears stressful a job having to run the entire planet secretly would logically be, is pure gold and I can’t believe it’s never been thought of before

I finished watching the season and was taken by surprise at how disgusting the father turned out to be.
Initially the father to be the classic negligent but well-intentioned father that usually appears in many comedies, but the more he progressed it turned out to be even worse, to the point that by episode 10 it turned out that he was not only negligent he was a monster..

x9 They actually do make one 9/11 conspiracy theory joke but it's more of a meme reference tbh. When Reagan's going through all the useless stuff Brett brought to deal with ROBOTUS in the first episode:

This article came out recently announcing the voice cast of Inside Job, created by Gravity Falls writer Shion Takeuchi.
"Inside Job is a comedy about a shadow government and the dysfunctional team whose daily grind is committing the world’s conspiracies."
The story follows Cognito Inc.’s anti-social tech genius Reagan Ridley, voiced by Lizzy Caplan, who is seen as the odd one out for believing the world could be a better place.
Christian Slater will voice Rand Ridley, Reagan’s father and disgraced head of Cognito Inc., who was fired after a paranoid downward spiral and now spends his unemployment plotting revenge. Clark Duke is Brett Hand, a lovable D.C. yes-dude whose fratboy energy is a cover for a sweet, caring guy who just wants everyone to like him.
Andrew Daly plays J.R. Scheimpough, CEO of Cognito; Bobby Lee (Magnum P.I) plays Dr. Andre, a free-spirited biochemist; John Di Maggio (Futurama) is Glenn Dolphman, a half-man, half-dolphin, conservative war hero.
Tisha Campbell plays Gigi, Cognito’s fast-talking Head of Media Manipulation and Subliminal Messages and office gossip queen; and Brett Gelman is Magic Myc, a psychic subterranean mushroom creature described as “the office dickhead that likes to get inside your head, literally.”
