I’m down with procedural generation in tactics games - it beats there only being a handful of maps for every situation, as long as the generation is good.
I’m not sure what to think about the rogue like elements, though. I’m a little tired of like one in every three games - especially smaller scale games - having to be a roguelike-style these days, but on the other hand, Metal Slug is a classic arcade title, and being a roguelike is a good modern equivalent to the classic arcade experience, so there’s a case to be made that they’re sticking to their roots.

Never played Metal Slug, but I noticed Fio's kinda buff now.
Eri might be as well, but I didn't get a good look at her, so I'm not sure.
One Strip! One Strip!Yup. They gave the girls killer abs. I approve 500%.
I also love how much personality everyone is showing in the animated segments of the trailer. Tarma being a goofball during their planning. Fio falling off the Metal Slug before a boss shows up.
You are not alone.Yasssssssssssss.

Marco's working on a computer that immediately bluescreens when he looks away only to un-bluescreen when he steals a glance before he just gets fed up and delivers some Percussive Maintenance.
Fio's playing... Metal Slug and loses her credit when she poses for the camera, causing her to grumble.
The details are just... They really put effort into this.
You are not alone.Has there been any news of this?
Last thing I could find
was a Steam community post from June saying "sorry for a lack of updates!"
Has this even been postponed? Last I heard it was due out in 2023 and... that's not much time.
I don't mind waiting for the game, but for a relatively small-scale project it seems to be taking a long time with no word whatsoever.
