All of these characters are a study in contrasts.
- Casey: mild-mannered clerical worker — convicted felon, prison escapee
- Mobius: devoted analyst — down-on-his luck single dad and salesman
- B-15: soldier and moral leader — caring physician ("I looked happy!")
- Ouroboros: nerdy scientist and wannabe author — nerdy scientist and wannabe author
Well, at least one of those apples didn't fall too far from the tree. I'm still kind of fixated on the "fiction" thing. Are we about to break some fourth walls?

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
The difference between the OB's is the TVA version seems fulfilled and is actually respected by a subset of people while the real version is completely unsuccessful.
Except that until Loki and Mobius find him in S2E1 he's completely ignored at the TVA, too. He just lives and works in his little basement, forgotten.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Loki's had a complex relationship with the fourth wall ever since season one had him take on the Personification of MCU Continuity. The T.V.A. are basically the Canon Police, dictating what does and does not constitute an Official MCU Product. Sylvie killing He Who Remains was the moment that the multiverse opened up and, in a meta sense, the moment that everything became MCU.
Venom, the Fox-Men, Deadpool, 90's cartoon shows, Tobey Maguire, that fanfiction you wrote where Iron Man and Captain America kiss, it's all MCU canon now because the guy who says it can't be got stabbed to death in his citadel.
It's not surprising that they seem to be moving towards full-blown God of Stories. We were already dancing around that realm when the God of Stories canonized the multiverse.

And then we see Kamala Khan have a massive Oh, Crap! moment when she realizes that many of her works might be out there in the world.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."It's funny to me how Loki went from being a Small Name, Big Ego to being a true god.

Dont worry Disney can buy anything (except when videos say that theyre a dying company are around). The Chip n Dale movie is where they spent all their crossover money

K.E.V.I.N shows up at the end to kill Loki because only he can define what can be told in the MCU

"Just like a horse needs to run, you have to use your power." — Jean Grey, X-Men: First ClassYeah, I put that in a discussion in the work page. I'm certain this is the case, I'm not crazy!
"Just like a horse needs to run, you have to use your power." — Jean Grey, X-Men: First ClassSo one I wonder about is that previously and at the start of the very episode it's clear Loki time skipping is a stable loop, his past/future version is still there. Once he gains control of it suddenly he seems to be replacing his earlier version. I assume this intentional side effect of him gaining control of the process since it's such an obvious change
also time loom: There are a couple of possibilities. That yes it creates all of time artificially and branch timelines spaghettify without which seems counterintuitive to me but there you go. The other possibility is that the Lokis clearly weren't punted back to their original timeline branches and you need the loom active to be a timeline you're not native to. Possibly backed up in that the spaghettification seemed to start in Sylvie's adopted timeline and spread from there. Thematically Loki's selfishness ruining everything.
Up until Loki gain control of his powers the episode seem to be treading water a little but it the character moment with Loki in the bar was pretty good. More effectively focused on him as the shows been mostly plot driven this time out.
The spaghettification started at the T.V.A. and spread to the branches. It's a consequence of the loom exploding. It wasn't clear before this point what "The loom weaves raw time into refined timeline" or whatever they said in episode 1 meant, but now it's pretty obvious. Without the loom, timelines can't exist.
This seems. Backwards. In that the timelines had to be able to exist just fine before Kang, a man from inside a timeline, invented the loom. But that seems to be what's happening here. With the loom destroyed, all timelines will spaghettify and the entire multiverse will cease to exist. Unless Loki, now in control of his time slipping, can return to the T.V.A. at a previous point in "time" - not time-time but in-T.V.A. time which is outside of time - and prevent its destruction.

My guess is that before HWR came into the picture with the Temporal Loom, the multiverse was wild and branching out to every corner of space-time. Incursions were inevitable, but not the end-all be-all of the entire multiverse. And then HWR came in, and basically bonsai'd the entire multiverse into one thin strand, the Sacred Timeline, using the Loom with very little allowance for any branches. So when Sylvie killed HWR and caused the multiverse to return, the Loom was unable to contain the threads suddenly blooming into existence, trying to to go back to their original wild state. The Loom kept trying to hold on, until it exploded, and this basically caused the threads to wildly slam against each other, killing the bonsai tree.

Loki's emotional arc in this series has been fantastic. It turns out that the thing he fears most in all of his life is being alone. No wonder that sting from Sif in S1E4 within the time prison hurt so much.
