I guess MagiReco S2 is this season?
Uh, I'm going to say that I really doubt it'll be in July, though
Huh the key-art seems to imply Yahciyo is getting the protagonist slot this time, make sense. I expressed speculation in the Madoka thread, but for this one I'll just say I'm respective a Two Lines, No Waiting structure for this cour.

A new summer release from the short-lived alliance between Crunchyroll and Adult Swim
called Fena: Pirate Princess.
I feel like the ninjas were overkill to an already solid concept but I'll still check this out. Hopefully it'll be fun
Edit: I was wondering why it looked familiar and it's apparently made by the same director as B the beginning. I...think I'll wait a few episodes for this one

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysDefinitely watching Vanitas and Sonny Boy. The latter has a very flat, no shading style that I really like and the former is looking like studio Bones has gathered a very strong team. I was initially going to skip over Idaten (partly because the first visual) but the trailer has convinced me otherwise. Will check out Fena (my wish of a pirate-ninja anime has come through), Re-main and Kageki Shoujo to see how they turn out. Thank you Netflix for liscencing the Hathaway movie, wouldn't know how long I would have waited if they didn't.
Cowboys vs SamuraiAnd I'm still not sure what I plan to watch. A bunch of sequels I'm not interested in despite watching the previous seasons. Vanitas and Sonny Boy everyone hype about but me not much. Another bunch of fantasy/isekai (will try a couople of them, maybe). That thing about Duke and his maid looks mildly interesting (and I don't mind the CG) but I'm still not sure.
Surprisingly, the only series I'll 100% give a chance is Bokutachi No Remake because I like the premise and staff.

The Anime Man just gave his list of shows next season: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uzPd0ciuq8
DAMN is there a lot of Isekai.
All of whom I will be skipping, hehe.
Will keep up with Bn HA, check out Maidragon S2, might check out Peach Boy Riverside and Bokutachi no Remake.
After last season where I didn't watch anything, I guess this season I'll be picking up a few shows.
Definite
Higurashi Sotsu is my most anticipated. Will certainly be watching this the day it comes out.
Bakarina Season 2 I'm moderately excited for. Hopefully they adapt the source material in a stronger way given the changes made to Season 1. I'm also hopeful there'll be another fanfic boom for the show. Since it got a few hundred fics on AO 3 last year.
Love Live Superstar is something I'll definitely watch, but I'll likely wait until the whole thing has aired.
Maybe when its complete

They adapted most of the Magi Reco first arc plot in S1, so it is highly possible we'll get something like 8 ep series or even a bunch of eps composed in TV movie like some of Gatari seasons.

Ok. It starts on July 31st (technically August first) and there will be one more season at the end of the year:
Random Curiosity’s preview for the summer cour is up!
Watching
- Ore, Tsushima: Weird talking cats! I like weird talking cats better than regular non-talking cats.
- Bokutachi no Remake: Second-chance time travel tale meets game development slice-of-life? Heck yes. Most stories like this involve preventing a death of some sort, I’m up for something with lower stakes.
- Realist Hero: Now this is a true isekai power fantasy: the lead is a well-read, politics- and econ-savvy guy. With a harem. Sold.
- Re-main: I’m thoroughly glad we’re getting truly enjoyable sports shows recently, and now it’s water polo’s time to shine.
- Getter Robo Arc: Umm holy shit, it’s a new Getter Robo. Gimme.
- Kobayashi-san Chi no Maidragon S: Enjoyed the first season well enough. But man, it still pains me to remember the bastard that burned KyoAni.
- Aquatope of White Sand: Oh, this looks lovely.
- Love Live! Superstar!: Even as someone who’s ambivalent towards idol shows I’ve consistently enjoyed the Love Live anime. I hope the latest one has a cast as quirky as Sunshine’s and songs as varied as Nijigasaki’s.
- Battle in 5 Seconds After Meeting: Not gonna lie, I’m more looking forward to the anime boosting the manga’s popularity and cause scanlators to pick the manga back up.
- Sonny Boy: Have not managed to catch the pre-air but this has the scent of something special. Probably what I’m most hyped about this cour.
- Night Head 2041: Oh damn, this is based on the drama. I’m always willing to watch a good sci-fi flick.
- Pirate Princess Fena: You had me at “pirate princess.”
Trying Out
- Peachboy Riverside: Seems like a fairly typical fantasy adventure.
- Vanitas: Not too keen on the vampires but the staff and studio have a good track record. That said I wasn’t a fan of Pandora Hearts either.
- Kageki Shoujo: Looks all-out shoujo, I’m in the mood for that.
- The Detective Is Already Dead: Certainly an interesting premise for a sleuthing anime to have the death of the detective herself be the primary mystery.
- D_cide Traumerei: If the monsters are freaky and the action is cool, I’ll take it.
- Idaten Deities in the Peaceful Generation: Also deciding if I’ll keep watching this based on how good the fight scenes are.
- Jahy-sama: You know, I was thinking about reading the manga. Gonna try out the anime.
- Megaton Musashi: Could be some good ol’ classic mecha entertainment.
Looks droppable
- Scarlet Nexus: The first episode was painfully generic, I’ll take a gander at the second but will probably dump it in the bin.
- The Duke of Death and his Maid: Doesn’t look appealing and the premise is so-so.
- Uramichi Onii-san: Either it’s Actually Pretty Funny or it’s just cranky adult men being cranky.
- Seirei Gensouki: Seems factory-built isekai, but might still be solid.
- Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy: Speaking of factory-built isekai...
- Cheat Pharmacy: The isekai factory is showing record numbers here
- Meikyuu Black Company: Aaaand another one. I think I’ve read the manga for this and found it forgettable.
- Mother of the Goddess’s Dormitory: “Gratuitous ecchi relating to older women” instantly made me think of CDawgVA.
Not watching
- Higurashi: Kinda spaced out after the first season,
- 100-man no Inochi: Already reading the manga for it.
- Kanojo mo Kanojo: Also already reading the manga.
- My Next Life as a Villainess: No interest in the series.
- Mahouka Koukou no Yuutosei: No interest in this series either.
- Idolish 7: Idol stuff.
- Tsukipro: More idol stuff.
- Slime Isekai: Couldn’t be bothered to finish the first season.
- Magia Record: The first season was mind-numbingly boring in parts... but apparently the second season is where all the good stuff is? Unsure if I should try it still.
The spring cour surprised me with how many shows had impeccable writing. I’m not expecting that for this season, but it sure looks like there are a lot of just plain fun shows. Stuff that looks heavy on the action or comedy. 2021 seems like it’s on track to stay winning, anime-wise
One of Shinichiro Watanabe's buddies doing a pirate anime (w. ninjas because of course) sounds like such a lay up on paper but when B The Beginning is one of the more recent things on your resume...
My Megaman and MegaTen RPG Liveblogs

The only series in this list I would consider checking out is Aquatrope of White Sand, but I can feel the queerbait stench rising off of it, and I'm not about that.
I would have loved an anime for Duke of Death, except the animation looks god-awful. Why did they go with CG?! It's hideous.

It's been fun.
