Posting this to make public that I voted for Waterfront Boss Battle, which now has 10 net upvotes for a favorable ratio of 11:1. I didn't downvote any of the other options.
I voted for Waterfront Boss Battle as waterfront is inclusive of all land next to a body of water.
When I hear -side, it's typically a more specific body of water (eg riverside, lakeside, etc.). Waterfront is the only fitting option.
I think the crowner's safe to call in favor of Waterfront Boss Battle. Maybe Waterside Boss Battle could be a redirect.
After it's called, we'd need another crowner for what to call battles that are actually underwater.

Calling crowner in favour of Waterfront Boss Battle; Waterside Boss Battle and Beachside Boss Battle can become redirects.
All right, maybe later I can make an Alternative Titles crowner for the trope for battles that are actually underwater, but right now my arm hurts from dewicking Dummied Out, so I'll take a break first.
Edit: Actually, I think it's too soon to make a crowner, because it looks like I was the only one who suggested names for the underwater trope (Subaquatic Boss Battle and Subaquatic Boss Skirmish), since everyone was focused on the above-water trope, so I'll hold off on making a crowner for this thread, and focus on making one for Vendor Trash instead.

Well, if we need more names for the underwater trope... perhaps Submerged Boss Battle? Can't think of many other names that aren't too obtuse or too specific (Submarine Boss Battle also came to mind, for instance, but this trope isn't limited to the sea).
That being said, I figure that keeping Underwater Boss Battle could also be an option. That would honestly be my preference.
Actually, now that you mention it, the vote to rename was carried out before the vote to split, when we were still operating under the assumption that there would be one trope that included both underwater and waterfront examples. So I'd be cool with keeping the original name if that's on the table.
I wouldn't be against keeping the name Underwater Boss Battle for battles that are actually underwater, and just moving the above-water examples somewhere else (as was already decided).

Yeah, moving the above-water examples to the new trope and keeping the rest on the current Underwater Boss Battle page seems like the cleanest solution.
Does anyone else have thoughts, or should we just go ahead and start the split?
I think we should have a crowner for whether to rename the trope for battles that are actually underwater.
Edit: And done.

I advertised the crowner on ATT.
I think it's safe to call in favor of keeping the name Underwater Boss Battle.
Agreed, calling it.

Okay, well, since that's decided, it seems to me that the main steps left here are
Didn't a crowner take care of #1? (Sandbox) Or is there another trope to be drafted?
Oh, I must have missed it. Or forgot about it.
In that case, the next step is putting together the new page, I think? We already have Sandbox.Underwater Boss Battle On Or Near Water Examples, so the basic work's done. The current page's not super extensive, but it's got plenty of examples and the description gets the basic job done, so I don't think it needs a stay in the TLP? Mainly, I think it mostly needs an image right now.

... right, well. I was able to scrounge up a couple of images. They're not the best, but I suppose they're better than nothing.

How well does it match the trope?
