I recall he once beat two dudes responsible for the death of his parents half to death.
Like, he shit stomped them quite thoroughly, and then left them both chained to a burning oil tanker (or something with oil in it) and with a brief window to unchain themselves....that they failed to meet.
Walker's run as Cap was messed up.
One Strip! One Strip!Oh. Combining Flag Smasher and Walker into one character huh?
That's something I didn't consider.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, that video just educated me that "Buck" is a slur and US Agent had a black sidekick called Bucky until they learned otherwise
And I can't wait for US Agent as Cap to get a sidekick and suggests he be called "Bucky" until someone whispers quickly in his ears.

..."Buck" is a slur? This is the first time I've heard of that. I'll have to give the video a watch later.
That aside...do we think this'll be one season like Wandavision or do we expect multiple seasons? I guess it depends on how the rest of phase four plays out but I'm thinking that if Sam takes up the title of Captain America and not just the roll that at the very least the show'll be renamed from season two onwards.
The word "buck" refers to male horned animals like moose and deer (and in a farming context, uncastrated rams) and carries the connotation of the sexual aggression of those same animals in mating season. In the US, the word's use as a slur comes from the racist stereotype of Black men being sex-crazed and predatory.
One day, we will read his name in the news and cheer. It's also Disney and Marvel Studios actively flexing how much control they have of the D+ platform. They aren't falling into the Netflix MCU trap of trying to forcibly create standard seasons of standard syndicated TV shows and are instead treating them like mini-series TV specials, which takes better advantage of the streaming platform.
It's where the "buck" in "strapping young bucks" comes from.
Someone mentioned a while back that this series might be where they throw all the unused ideas they had in the bank after replacing the third Cap film with Civil War, and William Burnside (and the Serpent Society) was explicitly namedropped as one of them. I suspect Walker will just be The Dragon and a pawn in the grand scheme of things, though they might forcibly turn him into a more Burnside-like figure.
Been browsing others' reviews of the episode and this one
brings up the line about Bucky seeing "tiger photos" on dating apps. So it's not just me who found the line eyebrow-raising and Ambiguously Bi (that or he's running into furries).
Given that fact I wouldn't be surprised if the Flag Smashers pulled something like that with a knockoff serum that gave people superpowers at the expense of their mental faculties.

If they actually are intending this to be a hint that Bucky is bi - and if so they have to come out down the line and put something on film to show it - if they do that I will stan this until the day I die.
Being able to say that perhaps my favorite character in the MCU represents me on some level, that would mean the world to me.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."It's a miniseries actually.
That would be quite the departure, since normally Flag Masher's views are pretty opposite to Walker's. I'm guessing one would be just an act in this scenario? Still i don't see why people think he'll be composite with anyone.

Sam doesn't necessarily have to be a fully realized Captain America by the end of the series, but audiences will want to see him accepting and using the shield in the climactic finale. If Sam ends the show having never once thrown the shield into a bad guy's face, it'll be a huge disappointment.
Yeah, they don't want to do a Rey and pull a "this is the story of how the character came into their own, which will happen five minutes before the final credits roll" bit.

Comic Drake recently covered the pinball history of John Walker, who has a on-going run at the moment. note
It didn't occur to me that he was named (twice) after two brands of whiskey.
Along with awkwardly being a part of the Canadian superhero team Alpha Flight as U.S.Agent.
