Suggestion: Video Game.I Wanna Be The Guy

(Take note that this is my first ever thread in IP. If you saw me mess up the formatting in the title or anywhere else, that's on me.)

[[strike: The current pic is nothing but a screenshot from one of the levels, which isn't the most illustrative. Not to mention it looks rather similar to the image on Nintendo Hard.

I suggest this image◊ instead. It's a JPG, but I feel like it'd fit a lot better.

Edit: Okay, scratch that original idea. ~Tropers/Primis helped me find this image◊ which can actually be used freely. (I really hope I'm not breaking rules by doing this...)

I prefer the current, it gives a better idea of what the game is about. The title screen is simply a homage to Mega Man.

I see your point, but the current image is a bit too similar to the one on Nintendo Hard for my liking.

Well this is Nintendo Hard: The Game, after all.

It's pretty easy to find similar screenshots for either this game or for NH, such as this one◊. Point is, this game is about excessive spikes (and delicious fruit), not about a Megaman title.

1.2 is good.

Why is the title screen being an homage to Mega Man an issue? That little fact requires familiarity with Mega Man to even mean anything, and if you are familiar with that series, well then you obviously know this isn't a Mega Man game.

1.2 is fine, but I'd also be fine with just a transparent PNG of the logo, but I wasn't able to find one.

Official Art > Title Screens > Random Screenshots. Every time.

I disagree that's always the case, because Covers Always Lie.

What difference does that make? Cover art is cover art. We're not lying to anyone by making it the page image.

No, but work page images should illustrate the work. I agree that official art isn't preferable "every time".

If we do use a screenshot, how about this? It shows both the Spikes of Doom and Delicious Fruit.

I'm just saying, if this page (or any game / work page) had been created with the cover art / title screen already in place, literally nobody would want to change it to a random screenshot.

I Wanna Be the Guy is a downloadable game which doesn't really have cover art; the original suggestion is fanart which specifically says "Do not copy, edit, or distribute this image."
