This trope is supposed to be "Creator/Actor dies before a work's completed", but it's frequently misused as "Author dies", which is People Sit on Chairs (unless there are some immortals lurking among us, but I digress).

    Wick Check 

So, out of 22 wicks, only 27% were actual AEF, 36% were creators dying after the work was finished, 9% weren't even dead, 9% weren't the creator, 9% were ZCEs, and 9% died in between the original and a sequel (yes, I know these percentages only add up to 99% - none of them rounded up). This needs to be cleaned up and possibly renamed due to how much misuse it's gained.
