Opened, I also favour a cut. Classic dialogue title suckage. Merge anything useful to Product Placement.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI wish Godzilla were around to monitor YKTTW ten years ago. Then we wouldn't have so many TRS these days about misleading titles.
Cut. Seems covered by items like The Red Stapler and Misaimed Marketing, and none of the wicks are on work pages.
I think a lot of Advertising Tropes struggle to thrive due to crosswicking issues, but this one seems so obscure and oddly written that I don't think that's the issue here.

Advertising by Association if it's made by the same crew.

Since Tropes Are Flexible, I think it might be worth expanding Advertising by Association to remove the requirement for the work being advertised to be made by the same people as the work being referenced in the advertisement. I don't know if we can do that in this thread, though, unless we have a crowner to merge the "If you like Product X, you'll like Product Y!" part of If You Like X Files with Advertising by Association.

I got a rock for Halloween.I posted a notice on the discussion page and cutlisted the page since dewicking was already done by someone else.
I got a rock for Halloween.

Has existed since 2009, but there are only 5 wicks. That means Starving on Wick, so it's not performing well enough. I think the name is also misleading, as suggested in the last paragraph in the description. I vote cut.
