The premiere access wall is going to make people think twice about this film. At least they aren’t doing what happened with Raya and releasing it the same week as Loki.
Jesus, I guess they're really going out now. This better be good, I'm rooting for it. I'm either going to have to beg my uncle to get Disney+ Premiere Access, and pay him for it, or Cruella is going to be the first movie I see in Theatres since Rise of Skywalker.
Somebody in Disney's marketing department needs to be fired, simply for not using "Emma Vs. Emma" in the advertising.

These trailers are basically showing everyting aren't they? And I must admit, while I am rooting for this movie to do well, I'm getting nervous.
Social media critic reviews are coming out and... good gravy, they’re not just good, they’re spectacular.
Phrases like “iconic,” “strong Oscar contender,” and even “best live action Disney movie ever” have been spotted.

My guess is it'll be this scene, but from Cruella's POV. Kind of "leading into the original movie" sort of thing.
Come to think, is Anita in this movie? Since it's supposed to be about Cruella's life in general, her knowing Anita from school might show up.

Yes, Anita is in the movie played by Kirby Howell-Baptiste. She's still supposed to be Cruella's friend here.
Also Mark Strong is in this, and I wont be surprised if he ends up being the main antagonist (not to say villain, as Cruella herself will almost certainly qualify by the end of the movie) either eclipsing or on par with the Baroness.

that this film has well-received 'female breakdown' works in its DNA. So I'm kinda happy reactions are leaning that way :-)

I'm Sad Frogerson.
I've been seeing TV promos with prominent warnings that the film "may have scenes that are too intense for younger viewers".
Now I'm kinda curious how dark this film might get. It implies that they're very much not going to whitewash Cruella's actions.
Yeah, I know Joker got a lot of criticism for wanting the audience to sympathize with a guy who was already a sexist tool even before he officially became a supervillain, so good this one seems to be avoiding stuff like that.

I've been watching Disney for years, they do with almost everything that isn't a cartoon. I'm pretty sure both Alice in Wonderland and Narnia got that same treatment from tv commercials. Maybe the Beauty and The Beast and Mulan live actions as well. The Maleficent movies as well.

Just because a villain's Backstory is shown does not mean that they intend for him to be considered sympathetic by the audience.
Even in the movie it is made clear that the Joker is a case of "Freudian excuse is no excuse"
