Seems OK but the paragraph on AOC needs some work; all countries have some flavour of AOC laws and even in the USA 16 is more common than 18, and I am sure that the misconception that it's 18 everywhere is also because people confuse majority with AOC, not just because of California.
I'd say "Hollywood Law often comes into play with this trope, because in most of the world the law allows such relationships between older teens and adults, even if they are not necessarily socially acceptable. Because California is one of the few exceptions, many Hollywood works incorrectly assume that they are a crime everywhere and at any age." to strip down some of the technicalities.

Ok, updated. I think Jail Bait should disambig

"It's just a show; I should really just relax"
Does it mean sorting through the OPEs and 542 wicks for what fits under Jail Bait Taboo?
There is a list of all wicks on Sandbox.Jail Bait Wicks for folks looking for examples.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAdding some examples to the sandbox. This example, from Jail Bait Wicks, seems like a good example, but I am not sure whether it counts as a Real Life example (which shouldn't be allowed IMO) not:
- Days before Borat Subsequent Moviefilm came out, news broke that it contained a compromising scene involving Rudy Giuliani seemingly trying to seduce a much younger female reporter (actually the film's female lead), who he is then told is only 15. Given that the contents of this scene had real-world implications for Giuliani and his associates in terms of both their reputations and possible legal action, many news organizations wound up spoiling the scene in question in order to talk about the story.
Are these good examples of Jail Bait Taboo? Taken from Jailbait
- Pre-Crisis Supergirl was around fifteen when she crash-landed on Earth. She eventually grew up, but a quite infamous issue — which was promptly swept under the rug — has her adult cousin regretting that marrying his teen cousin isn't legal.
- Played for Laughs in the Pokémon fic Kanto Calling. Brock sees 16-year old Serena and thinks to himself that she's pretty enough to hit on, but too young for him to hit on. He momentarily takes into consideration hitting on Serena just so he can get arrested and up in jail with Officer Jenny, but Ash convinces him not to.
Edit:The page actually has several good examples of JBT so we can move those to the sand box when we make it

Macron's notesI suppose the newly defined trope can replace a couple of cases currently filed under Paedo Hunt like the potholed "raise all kinds of hackles in the audience" line in first paragraph of Old Man Marrying a Child.
I don't think that the Superman one works well (teen & cousin are cited), but the other is fine.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Regarding the sandbox, I don't think "conflict occurs from one character being too young to date" should be a subtrope of "characters in a relationship are very different ages". Especially since we already have an example (Stalked At 17) where the relationship isn't notable enough for Age-Gap Romance.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I agree. Not all examples are also examples of Age-Gap Romance.
That said, do people want to run Sandbox.Jailbait Taboo through TLP? Do we need a crowner to ratify the solutions discussed here?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCart before horse, I think. I've attached a crowner and filled in the option.
That said, Sandbox.Jailbait Taboo kind of implies that the trope is gender specific (adult men and teenage girls). Is that correct?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think it is gendered (pervy older men get much more coverage than pervy older women) but not to the extent that we declare it Always Male.
We could probably declare it as "Frequently sexist in execution" in Double Standard.
For the record, we only have 9 votes, but they are unanimous in saying "new name for taboo'd underage relationships" and "turn current page into a disambiguation".

Link to TRS threads in project mode here. Can the sandboxed version link to Forbidden Love? It's the supertrope for taboo relationships.
