Ahhh. I guess I can kind of see where you're coming from. It doesn't seem more than superficially similar to me, however. For one thing, there's more than one big nation to contend with, the Peace Princess and the Emperor are on opposite sides, and there's no analogue to Back Arrow or the villagers or The Wall in Geass. I guess I'll have to take that back if Shu starts wearing a mask and cape, though.
Episode 11: The war between Rekka and Lutoh starts.
It’s actually satisfying how Arrow and Shi defeat Kai and Ren by exploiting Arrow’s newfound air superiority. Sucks for the Rekka lot, but them’s the breaks.
The Rekka emperor is so OP he can take down Briheights without using his own Briheight. I imagine he’ll have to face off against the powerful blobperson in the previous episode at some point, and that’s when he’ll get dangerous.
I think the war is going to end messily. Some predictions:
- Prax and Fine are going to share the same fate. If one dies, the other will as well
- I doubt Fine will stay in power, though
- Zetsu is definitely going to die
- Shu and Kai are going to kill each other
- Rudolph's scheming is going to be relevant sooner rather than later
Rudolph is definitely plotting something, he hasn’t been trying to be subtle about it either.
Rather than Kai and Shu killing each other I can see Ren getting in between their fight and be the one to bite the dust.
Also: Shu took one of the Warp Binders, could he be planning to pilot a Briheight himself?
Also Episode 15: Atlee/Elsha confirmed!
And if you disagree ask yourself this. On a ship with only five people (including them) aboard, and clearly intended to have a much larger crew, why would they be sleeping together in quarters with a single bed?
Episode 21: Zetsu goes out with a bang.
Bit has somehow become this strange but cool mix of badass and wuss. Declaring that you can’t underestimate how he relies on others and somehow using that as a conviction to fuse two dreadnoughts together is legitimately an awesome moment.
Oh, and Shu is back. Big time. Probably did make himself a new body out of conviction particles.

Well, I don't see much discussion about it here or elsewhere, but Back Arrow is pretty entertaining so far by episode 4 of 24. They have plenty of time to develop things, so at this point, I'm expecting a big twist by the end of the first cour (and plenty more betrayals). Though I have to say, I wasn't expecting the twist at the end of episode 4 to happen quite so soon. At this point, Back Arrow and Shu Bi are most definitely my favorite characters of the show.
Also, the OP is an absolute banger, as expected from LiSA:
Lastly, could use some help updating the trope page.
