Rance also started as an indy title and grew from there and, more importantly, has more substance to it than being rapeshit. It also ignores how the west has tons of rapey stuff get published all the time like Crossed.

Considering that Snow Daze exists, I doubt, and then there's the many hentai games avaliable on Steam, some of which have rape as their main theme... Being rape porn won't prevent Redo of Healer or any other anime/game of Western distribution, at worst it will only make things harder, but not impossible.
