A line on Stock Jokes might work, though it seems every entry has to be a trope.

Sounds like a workable compromise to me.

But that's an index...it wouldn't fix any of the issues with the page besides that it's now on a new index.

I'm thinking something along the lines of Stock Video Game Puzzle, where the lower part of the list includes stock puzzles that aren't tropes and allow addition of more stock jokes if anybody wants.

That seems workable.

My Other Car Is An X could also be worked into the description of Fun T-Shirt and valid examples moved there, as a lot of the examples seem to be funny t-shirts.

Merge with Stock Jokes. I'm frankly uncomfortable with how cut-happy the forum is.

It'd still be getting cut, you know; it'd just be mentioned on the page as a type of Stock Joke. That doesn't mean the actual page and trope would exist on the wiki.

I really don't see what the big deal is. This doesn't even qualify as a trope. It barely qualifies as being a Stock Joke. Why are people getting worked up over the concept of cutting it? What value does it bring? And the TRS hasn't been very "cut happy" as of late. We do far more attempts at actually reworking bad tropes into newer, stronger forms then we do send tropes to the incinerator.

Yeah, when I vote 'cut' I essentially mean "get rid of the page". I won't contest putting the contents somewhere else as long as it ceases to exist in trope page form.

I'll start a single prop to see if anyone else is down for moving contents to Stock Joke.
