Maybe just the first two panels, or is that not enough? Also, I'm sorta inclined to take the comic's stance toward its use on other sites as loose permission to use more than half a strip for our purposes.
My problem is that it's too texty even with 3 panels, it's not much easier to read at full size either, and not that good of an illustration to begin with. While it might need some text to get the point of the trope across, it does not in this case.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Can work with just panels 2, 3 and 4. And you still get a punchline.
Original the Signature. Do not steal.I don't see how it relates to the trope, so .
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.How exactly?
Trope is basically "Hero has an extreme urge to help everyone within earshot"
Looks like it does. The third panel especially shows they're immediately ready to help with even an absurd requirement.
I really dislike when people don't elaborate their points. We try hard to make those collages, and better feedback would be nice since it would allow me to look for more examples or fix existing ones.

Original the Signature. Do not steal.I like the arrangement and panel choice in 4.1 more than the current.
Chronic Hero Syndrome is the hero essentially becoming everyone's helper / butler out of an extreme desire to be helpful, sometimes even without being asked, which the collage shows. The heroine is actively finding and doing things without even being asked first, to comically stalkerish levels.
It's just way too vague. There is a lot of setup, difficult top understand to begin with, then in the last panel the character shows a piece of fossil. It seems to me that it's another trope, where a character comes up with logical but implausible solutions to a problem.
Looking through the examples, I found this comic. It's still a bit too texty for my taste, but at least it's clear how it is supposed to illustrate the trope.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.I find that less illustrative than the current or the revised suggestion.
That comic is more of a deconstructive example. And the heroism is only discussed instead of shown.
This trope is about addiction to helping others. Not its possibly depressing side-effects. That's another trope entirely: Heroic Fatigue.

Original the Signature. Do not steal. Some panels of this comic, maybe?
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Again, the heroism is not shown. And it's aimed at one person in particular instead of several.
Plus, it's perhaps even textier.
Original the Signature. Do not steal.Clock is set.
Crowner's hooked. I didn't include 8 or 11 due to no actual suggestions being built from them.
Votes bump; two in the green.
One more bump; two in the green, one in consensus range.

Problem 1: It's hardly readable. Problem 2: It uses 4 out of 7 panels◊.
Any replacement suggestions?
