This thread collates all requestsFor example regarding videos for moderators and engineersHow to... .
The policy on videos is here, the policy & general discussion here
and maintenance discussion here
.
All discussions need to occur in these threads; here we only enact finalized decisions.
Please keep in mind that moderators are likely not familiar with the work/s the video/s is/are from. As such:
- Mention the video's name.
- If you want a trope added or removed from a video, please explain how the video fits/doesn't fit the trope or link to other discussions supporting your proposal.
- If you want the description changed, please write up a draft for the description.
- Videos that lack a media source go to Videos Without a Source and shouldn't be reported here. If a source has been found, feel free to submit a request for it to be added to the video.
Requests that don't fulfill the above requirements will not be handled.

Done. I had trouble finding the Twinkle in the Sky video because that's in fact a redirect to A Twinkle in the Sky, so I went to the former's videos and replace the secondary trope with the correct destination.
Please make the following edits:
- Add the media source Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation! to the "Rest stop for Santa" video from the Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness page.
- Add the secondary trope Blowing a Raspberry to the "Big Baby had enough" video from the The Dog Bites Back page. In the video, Big Baby sticks his tongue out and makes this sound after throwing Lotso into the trash.
- Add the secondary trope Druid to the "Mebh & Moll healing" video from the Fiery Redhead page. In the video, Mebh and Moll demonstrate their healing powers and their control over wolves.
- Add the secondary trope Eye Colour Change to the "The Grinch's redemption" video from the True Meaning of Christmas page. In the video, the Grinch's eyes change from red to blue because he realized the True Meaning of Christmas.
- Add the secondary trope Merit Badges for Everything to the "Sesquipedalian!" video from the Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness page. In the video, a Fireside Girl earns a patch just for saying a word no one else in the room knows.
- Add the secondary trope Owls Ask "Who?" to the "We're a Couple of Misfits" video from the Friendship Song page. In the video, two owls say "Who?" when Hermey and Rudolph sing the lyric "Who decides the test of what is really best?"
- Add the secondary trope Phantom Zone to the "The Ancient One" video from the The Archmage page. In the video, the Ancient One and the Zealots fight in the Mirror Dimension which reflects the real world, and after the fight is over, the Ancient One goes through a portal back to the real world.
- Add the secondary trope Time Stands Still to the "Everything You've Ever Wanted" video from the Be Careful What You Wish For page. In the video, everyone in the background is standing still because time has stopped.
- Add these secondary tropes to the "We Are Santa's Elves" video from the "I Am" Song page:
- Inexplicably Identical Individuals: The female elves singing the song all look the same.
- Santa Claus: Santa listens to his elves singing a song.
On God of War, "Kratos kills Ares" has God Killer listed as it's primary trope, but that's either been cut or was never a trope. Please have the secondary trope (Kill the God) as the primary trope instead.
For the entry on VideoExamples.Weird Science, please change the source from Series.Weird Science to Series.Weird Science 1994.
Notice how Stewie and Brian are screaming repeatedly at each other in VideoExamples.Scrubbing Off The Trauma ? I think it deserves Reactive Continuous Scream as a secondary trope.
"Earth-12!Batman's Last Stand" (primary trope Dying Moment of Awesome) has Creator.Kevin Conroy and Creator.Mark Hamill as secondary media sources. This definitely was a case of this video example being for Kevin Conroy's final Batman performance, but it's all in the description and not discussed in the video itself, as seen with the description:
As such, the bolded part of the description, End of an Era (a redirect for End of an Age and misused as real life examples require five or more years), and Swan Song secondary tropes need to be removed from the video.

I think I remember the engineers having a discussion
regarding this whether if they should add them in or not (I believe this was posted right before some of the newer engineers were recruited so the judgement of videos were a bit different back then). I'm also on the fence regarding this as well (even though I do agree that the video doesn't point this out).

Currently semi-active.The following videos have VideoGame.God Of War 1 as their media source, but it should be changed to VideoGame.God Of War I, since the former is a redirect:
- "Kratos: The Ghost of Sparta" (for Red Baron)
- "The New God of War" (for Deity of Human Origin)
- "Pandora's Guardian" (for Broken Armor Boss Battle)
In Sly Exaggerated Wink, please add these media sources in these 2 videos (only the recap pages are attached to it):
- "Bean conducting" - add Mr. Bean
- "Vision and Agnes" - add WandaVision
For the video “Thunderbolt Ross” on Captain America: Brave New World, add Leaning on the Fourth Wall as a trope: as the film’s page mentions as an example of said trope, President Ross mentions that he shaved his mustache off to win the election, and its absence is because he was recast in real life.

: I personally don't have a problem with including additional information about what's depicted in a clip in the description, but I do believe that a video example shouldn't link to pages the video itself doesn't demonstrate, so I'm in favor of removing those secondary tropes.
Fair enough, so remove just the Swan Song and End of an Era secondary tropes in the video?
Less complicated requests from VideoExamples.Ace Attorney:
- "Phoenix's Objection" (primary trope Dramatic Wind) — change the primary media source from Anime.Ace Attorney to Anime.Ace Attorney 2016, the former being a redirect for the latter.
- "OBJECTION!" (primary trope Giving Someone the Pointer Finger) — Remove the secondary media Franchise.Ace Attorney as it already has Anime.Ace Attorney 2016 as a primary media source.
- "Game Grumps Ship Wrightworth" (primary trope Ho Yay) — change the primary media source from VisualNovel.Ace Attorney to Franchise.Ace Attorney, the former being a redirect for the latter.
On the video "Hotfoot Crater" under the Run or Die trope I believe You Shall Not Pass! and Dwindling Party should be added as a secondary tropes
The video shows Mario, Kamek and Bowser Jr. running from a swarm of enemies. Kamek and then Bowser Jr. both end up staying behind to hold them off so Mario can escape, which should meet the description of both tropes.
On the video titled "The Baseball Furies" on Batter Up!, with the source The Warriors, please add Gang of Hats as a secondary trope, as it shows the Warriors being menaced by the Baseball Furies, a gang of men dressed like baseball players, and armed with baseball bats.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. For the Hunter (1984) clip under Dirty Harriet, I'd like Predatory Pimp to be added to the secondary tropes.
"We are all so afraid, we are all so alone, we all so need from the outside the assurance of our own worthiness to exist."I mean, to quote the clip's description (bold added by me):
