1.1 > 1.2, although I'd use a different pic for the top right panel.
That, too.

The bottom right of 1.1 doesn't look like a Classical Cyclops to me, that's simply Cyclops.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.1.1 doesn't depict "classical" to me.
We should just go with the big guy in the top left for Classical Cyclops.
It's the most illustrative of the concept, and it doesn't need a collage.
Move Cyclops to Classical Cyclops, essentially.

Original the Signature. Do not steal.1.2 has the advantage of having a regular human next to the cyclops, showing its gigantic size; and the human is wearing classical Greek armor.
I can tell the one in Cyclops is also huge since he comes behind a mountain.
1.2 has too little emphasis on the actual cyclops. I'd like to make its cyclops eye as clear as possible. The Cyclops image is a perfect illustration of the first paragraph of Classical Cyclops.

Original the Signature. Do not steal.Move the Cyclops image to Classical Cyclops and use the Futurama image for Cyclops.
Keet cleanupWhy not show a collage of various cyclops to show how diverse the trope is for regular Cyclops page?
What about this: move the pic from Cyclops to Classical Cyclops, and put 1.1 with one of the images replaced with the Futurama one to Cyclops.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.I could go with 1.1 on Cyclops while the the current image can be moved to Classical Cyclops. I suggest replacing the top left image as that would be on Classical Cyclops.
So, the most popular option so far seems to be moving the Cyclops image to Classical Cyclops and replacing it with either the Futurama one by itself or as one part of a collage. Does that seem right?
Personally I'd favor the collage idea, since Cyclops is fairly broad in scope.
I support a collage. Beside Leela, Mike Wazowski can also be on it.
All right, how's this looking for a collage?
Pretty good.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.
The bottom left image looks too classical for me.

I don't think it's a problem that the classical cyclops appears in the montage, as it's a subtrope.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.
I don’t think the bottom left pic needed to be replaced (it’s a cyclops painted in a classical style, but it’s not a Classical Cyclops), but I do prefer the non-transparent Mike pic on the top right.

back lolI'll go with 18.
(Annoyed grunt)The little white lines around the top left image of 18 honestly bug me pretty badly, but that's my only specific gripe with it.

I kinda agree. If 18 can be reuploaded with black lines dividing the panels, I'll give it a firm .
Here's a version with black lines. How's it compare?
Looks good.
Classical Cyclops just launched, and discussion during drafting regarding the image has tended to favor moving the image currently on Cyclops, on the basis that it illustrates the new trope more closely than it does its current one — Cyclops covers anything with one eye, Classical Cyclops is specifically about the man-eating mythical Greek giant, and the image on Cyclops right now is of the second concept. This would leave Cyclops without an image, so the idea was to replace it with one of Leela from Futurama (this one, specifically, was suggested — 1◊; the lady with the Extra Eyes would need to be cropped out first, of course), since she's a good example of a character whose thing is having just one eye without further embellishments.
Alternatively, the image on Cyclops could stay where it is and a new one could be found for Classical Cyclops. This wouldn't be my first pick, since I feel it's preferable for images to illustrate their image as broadly as possible and for there not to be too much overlap between different pages' images. If that's the favored option, though, these images might be good options for the Classical Cyclops page image: 2, 3◊.
These two were also suggested in the discussion:
