Oh cool chapter 128 is out. Why is real-life Fall Guys limited to shorties? I wanna play too! Thank you to the Serious Group for the Serious Cushioning.
I love Suu’s brand of dere, whatever it is. She definitely is somewhere on the autism spectrum. She really doesn’t care about most things, but she’ll do them if it makes Rentarou and Ahko happy. And she’s slowly learning she likes making the other girlfriends happy, too.
Yaku cluelessly participating in the entire thing was so funny.
You’ve seen souls leave their bodies, now watch souls pop like balloons from cuteness overload. Also: the Hahari-Rentarou putty that Ahko had to drag away from the audience seats. The visual gags in this series are always so good.

Xun scans also translated an interview with senseis Nakamura and Nozawa. Here are some choice bits specifically from when they talk about their creative process:
- Nakamura makes characters thinking if they would make readers uncomfortable. He wants them to be cherished. Meanwhile Nozawa takes a lot of inspiration for the visual designs of the girls from social media, because she wants the girls to be fashionable.
- Nozawa picks out funny moments and draws them “in a quirky way”. Guess that’s where the putty came from. Nozawa in general seems to be a drawing junkie.
- Most interesting part is how Nozawa describes Nakamura’s writing style. They’ve mentioned that Nakamura thinks about what makes his readers uncomfortable; however instead of taking those iffy elements out, he thinks about how to write those elements in a way that would make them appealing. Explains a lot!

Anime has been confirmed from leaked key visuals. Animation studio is the same as the one that did season 2 of Quints, apparently. I didn’t watch that so I’m not sure if they’re a good fit or not.
Confirmed seiyuu:
- Rentarou will be voiced by Wataru Katou, whose only notable role is a supporting character in Ao Ashi. No idea how he’ll do, but I like fresh picks.
- Hakari will be voiced by Kaede Hondo, who’s voiced Maple from Bofuri, Eiko from Paripi Koumei, Hikari from Demi-chan wa Kataritai, and Kaname from Toji no Miko. All are varying degrees of genki girl, will be interesting how she pulls off Hakari’s ojou-sama voice and perviness.
- Karane will be voiced by Miyu Tomita, who’s played a lot of roles, but I imagine her tsundere voice will be along the lines of Panlunch from Witch from Mercury and Iino from Kaguya-sama.
Chapter 130 is out, and reveals how the anime got greenlit. It’s because Rentarou obliterated Common Sense. That explains a lot about this series, actually.
This is another chapter that’s basically a collection of vignettes. My personal highlights:
- Rentarou is so convincing as a gal Ahko saw no problems bringing him into the girls’ CR. Heh.
- Poor Shizuka, eyes seared by Hakari’s and Momoha’s deviant exchange diary.
- Yamame is also quite the perfect cinnamon roll. Would love to see her get a pair chapter with Uto.
- When did Kusuri and Momi set up a roaming first aid team? That’s so cool.
- I love how the muscleheads couldn’t wrap their heads around Mimimi running “just” to maintain her beauty.
- Another unexpected combo! Suu’s passionate talks about numbers lets Rin vividly imagine them as human beings, and so math class becomes a fun exercise in imagining people getting mangled in a variety of ways. Pretty fun way to connect their quirks!
- Nano always comes in with the surprise suave moments. Freaking. Precious.
God, the anime cannot come soon enough.
It happens rather frequently seeing Rentarou crossdress, but Gal Rentarou is a good look.
The first 6 girlfriends are closer to the front in the color page while Kurumi is further back which feels like an indicator to me when the first season will end. Though, I personally think you would need to add anime-original scenes if the first season is only going to cover the first 3 volumes.
You know what I want in the anime, that despite olny focusing in the starter set of girlfriends, that the animators add some others in various places, obviously without getting close to Rentarou. Mai would be an example, since she was already in the background when Mei appeared, but I want more of them, since almost all of them share the school (and the junior the area).
In essence, what I want is to be able to play where is Waldo? with future girlfriends.

Seems like it. If they're going for a standard 12-episode run then the aftermath of the Hakari Rescue arc would be a great spot to end the season on. Not sure if they'd need to do much Adaptation Expansion for that, honestly. They could use the volume extras for material, too.

Definitely rooting for early bird cameos of future girlfriends. Another easy cameo would be Meme, who was explicitly trying to be a background character.
Sharing this wonderful fanart made to celebrate the anime (from Pixiv)

Chapter 131: A Yamame focus chapter! Get in here Shadow-Whisperer.
Yamame rocks that traditional waitress uniform. No wonder the foreigner was so smitten with her. Thankfully, Yamame’s squirrel friend is a trooper and rightfully slaps away that guy’s grubby mitts.
Rentarou also scares off a bear for her, and for his troubles he gets to be Yamame’s body pillow for the night. Lucky bastard. Even if he might broken a couple of ribs.
I have been invoked!!! (I mean, Yamame is currently placed 5th in my ranking, being the middle point in the almost 3 part tie of Uto-her-Meme, but it still nice being recognized).
Agreed, she looks great in that outfit, really chanelling an innocent rural vibe that I enjoy.
Love that the aye is apparently a genetic trait, seeing that the uncle speaks like a Pokemon.
I could feel how the squirrel manifested my feeling against unnecesary love rivals by slapping that american dude. If I had any skill with visula design, I would try to convert that page into a meme [plushie randomly appears (no, not you Meme)].
Yeah, I also jeolous Rentarou get the mega-hug. Almost experiencing death is a small prize for marshmallow heaven (he was going from one heaven to another
).
This chapter was a little short for sucj a big girl, but great non the less.

Don’t worry friend I’ll be sure to ring you up for any Shizuka focus chapters.
Aye is so ingrained in the Yasashiki family genes they even used it as part of the name of their shop.
Another neat detail is that Yamame’s uncle is shorter than her aunt. Big body girl lovers unite.
Watch the new girl be a hot spring fanatic based on the blurb.
New chapter, new girlfriend. Kaho Eira, the capoeira practitioner. Yeah, she's gonna be ticking plenty of boxes. Love the twist on her fear. She can kick a car into submission, but literally everything else can be construed as some non-physical entity she's powerless against. Can't wait to see how she bounces off the rest of the girls.
Chapter 132: The age of bad boys being popular is over.
And we get our new girlfriend: Eira Kaho. She’s half-Brazilian, the first college-aged GF, capoierista, oh and a humongous scaredy-cat… for everything she can’t physically hit. Which includes babies and heartbreak.
Oh we posted at the same time haha. But yeah Kaho is already popular just for being half-Brazilian and college-aged.

Say it with me:
Tan Girlfriend!, Tan Girlfriend!!, TAN GRILFRIEND!!!
With that out of the way, I can say I already love the new girlfriend, both for the previously mentioned reason, but because Kaho shifting from being so cool kicking to a scaredy cat is top gap moe, and that just sends me. I'm just hoping that she is scared of Shizuka for the same reason she was scared of the baby, being so cute you can't kick her, therefore is a horror beyond comprehension.
Edit: Plus, remember when I wondered if Rin would be able to add to the combat capabilities to the family, no its no longer needed since Kaho can prevent Isekais, making her a blessed being.

I mean, doesn't tan also mean to have a brown-skin tone? I think I have seen the word like that before, and that was what I meant. I choose that word, because I wanted to do a chant, so the shorter the word the better, and tan is what came up in my brain, but yeah, I could see how it could be confusing.
Thinking it more, it may be due to that in Spanish, there multiple word for diferent skin tones, I have seen "moreno" (somewhat dark-skinned) and "bronceado" (tanned) used interchangably to refer to a range of latin american skin tones, so the cables got mixed in my brain.

Now we have the smallest girls playing Fall Kids and being cute. Shizuka is wonderful. Yaku is always a delight too, yes yes.
