Previous thread. While the current is illustrative of the title, I agree that it's not really illustrative of the actual trope, and that a pic of a script or something like that is going to be the only way I can think of to pic this, aside from someone lampshading the concept. Tentatively voting to pull and BUPKIS.
Pull.
back lolPull. I can support BUPKIS.
(Annoyed grunt)Pull and BUPKIS.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Pull and BUPKIS.
Pull and BUPKIS.
Rock'n'roll never dies! What if we make it self-demonstrating? Replace it with text that just says, "Troper adds a funny image here."
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. With caption that says "Another troper adds a lampshadey caption here."

Current Project: Incorruptible Pure Pureness[Troper with badge and pink post toggle gives thumbs-up]
How meta.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
Wasn't there a previous caption that showed the a Marx Brothers script demanding improv? If it's not allowed, BUPKIS is okay.
It seems split between my suggestion and BUPKIS, do we need a crowner or is it too early?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Let's get a few more votes...I think your suggestion is far better than BUPKIS in this case.
11. I don’t think we need a crowner, since nearly all of the BUPKIS votes came in before 11 was suggested.
back lol[ccorb gives a thumbs up here]
Rock'n'roll never dies!I'm cool with either mewtwo's pic or BUPKIS.
Also, belated, but Will - I vaguely recall the picture being literally a screencap of a script. I'd prefer that, but if I recall, it breaks IP protocol?
If that was ever the case, then it's old enough to have fallen out of the page history; the original pic is the oldest such entry, from 2/10/2012.
As noted in the Ask Explanations thread, this trope is not literally that Harpo (or someone) does something funny. This trope is that the script states that an actor should improvise something funny, without specifying what exactly.
And you can't tell that from the image. It illustrates the title, but not the trope.
I don't really see how we can illustrate this, except with a screenshot of a script or something.
