And it begins...
So long as it looks like we're winning Georgia I'm going to feel confident in Biden's victory. There's no way we're winning Indiana or Kentucky (although we're currently in the lead in Kentucky from what I'm seeing), and Virginia and Vermont should be on lock. So really, it's Georgia that I'm focused on.
It’s a time zone thing, same as with Florida. Their polls close at 6pm local time, which means either 6pm eastern time or 7pm eastern time.

“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranYou know, sometimes I've joked that if there really was an Illuminati/Annunaki/whatever controlling everything from behind the scenes and trying to set up a world government, that might actually be an improvement over the current situation; either that, or they're trying but just doing a really miserable job. :V
Those sell-by-dates won't stop me because I can't read!
x2 They're a part of the first States to close their Ballots. Obviously as the night goes on more and more States will start counting, but Georgia is the real first Swing State we get to see.
Also sadly, Blue-Tucky is gone and Trump has his lead back. McGrath still has her lead but that's going to evaporate soon too...
For those who wonder why the Evil Turtle has that moniker:
- His
healthcare bill could have killed ten thousands every year
- Mitch is a key consigliere for Trump
- He was the key engineer behind Obama-era obstructionism
- McConnell has done more work breaking America's democracy than Trump

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWith polls closing the first few calls are coming in, just the obvious ones right now, Indiana, Kentucky and Vermont being called as you’d expect. Obviously there are relevant down-ballot races in both Kentucky and Vermont, which may take some time.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranAccording to the Yahoo tracker
: Trump's won Kentucky and Biden's won Vermont (with 0% reporting
). Both expected results.
NBC's called Indiana for Trump, said Virginia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia are too early to call. [1]
But 538 didn't have either of those at 100%!
Cancel Nate Silver!!!
I suppose this is when we learn if Biden can make headway in traditional red states, or if his efforts will be only bear fruit in swing states.

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Joe Biden is now ahead in Florida! I repeat, JOE BIDEN IS NOW AHEAD IN FLORIDA!
Apparently Trump is doing ~10% worse everywhere then in 2016, and Biden is doing phenomenal in many traditionally Republican parts of Florida. If Florida is called for Biden (which won't happen for another hour anyways), I think we win.

Can you imagine if Biden won Kentucky, though? The home state of the Evil Turtle?
...Actually, why do you call him that? I feel like there's a story here.
If you've played XCOM 2 then you'll no doubt think of The Faceless when it comes to Kentucky's hated senator and Senate Majority Leader. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a shapeshifting alien.
