Yah know, I don't think this is going to end well for everybody's favourite arena master. Going by panel seven and nine, it would be a miracle if he even made it though this conversation.
"Everyone is naturally inclined to violence and barbarism! That's why I have to threaten them to fight properly!"
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff."I survived the system, therefore the system is great and we should throw everyone else into the meat grinder" is how most terrible systems are perpetuated.

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Yah know, it's funny. Out of all the party members so far, plus the very obvious future additions, the only one that doesn't have some sort of epic destiny is Falst.
Falst is having trouble with the concept of problems that don't go away by punching them hard enough.
Also, here's another page
where the word "powerless" comes up. I'm guessing they're related.

Looks like Falst is not quite getting the sparkless thing. Erin could have worked towards releasing her, sure, but she'd still be a will-less servant to any passerby afterwards.
Metaphorically, that goes into how freeing one, or a handful of, slaves does not break the system that enslaved them. And would gladly recapture them at earliest opportunity.

Yeah, Vash also doesn't want to talk to Kendal when Collector is observing too closely, out of fear that she catches on to him.
