That's where I'm at. Full Firefly Effect for me. Netflix doesn't invest in long term story development and structure and just wants new hype trains and kills anything that doesn't get there after one season. Or kills it after 3 because they have metrics that shows maintain or shrink in audience after.
Assassin's Creed could be fresh in a franchise that needs it, but I fear it won't last.

I think the risk is that this is a adaptation of a well established franchise. It is highly likely that, if good, the initial response will be glowing but over time just lose that wow factor. I'm a little worried The Witcher (2019) will fall into the same issue.
