Of all the suspects, Doctor seemed the most obvious candidate to me.
* Swindler: Obviously not.
* Courier: He's too professional to be a traitor.
* Brawler: He's dead, And even before that, he was too excited about fights to be a traitor.
* Hacker: He left the team early, which wouldn't make sense if he was spying on them.
* Hoodlum: He only joined the group by accident. His sadness over Brawler's death seemed genuine, and as we saw in the stinger from the previous chapter, he actually cut Pupil's eye.
* Cutthorat: He is so obsessively in love with Swindler, it makes no sense for him to betray them.

correct, right on the money
Episode 8:
So yeah... Sagishi and Sister were spotted in Osaka and had to run for their lives. Thank God they found shelter, but then they were caught by fucked-up men... And she decimated 2 out of 3 of them... Who took care of the last one? Hakobiya, Courier!! He was there to deliver the pouch from Brother, and that's about it, until Sagishi pleaded him to take them to Brother. Accepted.
Meanwhile, Hoodlum got severely dominated by the now-antagonist Doctor (feet to the balls kind of domination), Pupil has a new partner but refuses to work with him, and Cutthroat is somehow alive, wanting to go back to his angel (Sagishi, of course)...
Next episode's title is "The Shining", which is shocking for two reasons: (1) I know that movie, and I'm sure a lot of people do too, (2) If the movie in the title foreshadows what's to come, then the episode might have someone go Axe-Crazy and die. *cue Dies Irae*
I fear that Cutthroat is next to die...

-Oh God, the censoring. I know this is probably on a time slot that makes this unavoidable but damn it is getting on my nerves. Maybe because I'm also watching Jujutsu Kaisen at the same time and the MC got his heart ripped out in episode 4
-On a more positive note, Short-Hair Swindler is the waifu of 2020. No debate. I wonder how Cutthroat will react tho
-The scene with her and the 3 men was... wow. She should really start avoiding takoyaki stands in the near future.
-Seems like everyone is converging again. Maybe Hacker shows up at the 11th hour to... hack something I guess. Also, it seems Hoodlum was planning on betraying them at one point but didn't do it and Student has increased her edge factor by 10 (5 for the eyepatch, 5 for the "I work alone" stuff)

Cowboys vs SamuraiI wonder how evil cutthroat really turns out to be.
He could perfectly be Obliviously Evil, or a complete heartless sociopath.

Yeah it looks like in the next episode that we are going to see Cutthroat turn on Swindler and see how Cutthroat got his name.
Short hair Swindler is adorable although its pretty sad that its kind of signaling how Swindler pretty much lost her innocence this episode and was forced to become a full fledged Akumada due to that shitty system. I never expected her to start killing but considering she and Sister were about to get sold to a human trafficking ring and possibly raped I don't really blame her for it.

Well, we've gone from fun crime time to miserable crime time. And it looks like we might be moving towards horror next episode
The main group should be meeting up with doctor and hoodlum pretty soon, since the latter are following a tracer in the former's possession. Doctor's goals are her own, I'm not sure she'll actually be a direct antagonist when they meet
My guess is that endgame will be everyone catching up with Brother right as he gets shipped off to Kanto, followed by some big revelations about what's really going on. Then Swindler sells the big floating heads on some bullshit and achieves a happy-ish ending
Doctor will be a direct antagonist because she wants to cut up the little kid to harvest her cells. For science. We’ll probably see Doctor and Hoodlum catch up to our protagonist’s posse, and maybe Cutthroat will catch up at the end to join the fun.

Yeah, can’t blame Swindler. She does rock that short hair ‘do though.

Still excited for Hacker’s comeback! He’ll probably be involved when they reveal the big stuff about Kanto.
And now I want some takoyaki.
Swindler would definitely be angry, but there's nothing stopping Doctor from just doing it, grabbing the samples she needs, and then merrily waltzing off while the kids heal up, after which she's no longer a matter of serious concern for the protagonists. Insanely fast surgery is kind of her thing.
What's precedent ever done for us?Episode 9:
Eerie episode, but considering what the episode is titled from, it's no surprise...
In other news, the propaganda puppets seem like they don't want to do their job anymore, people are rioting for Akudama blood after Sagishi posted online and the incident from last episode coupled with sightigs or her and Cutthroat, Hoodlum and Doctor made out (off-screen), Doctor revealed her true intentions: to conquer death so that she can become the grim reaper that can choose who lives or dies at whim (even herself), Courier keeps on calling the two people he has under his care "shit", and Brother is off to somewhere with the Executioners, thus the adventure continues... That's a lot to handle...
Next episode's title is "Babel", from the movie about miscommunication and globalization (as expected, since it is a reference to The Bible after all), so expect those themes next episode. Also, Hoodlum might be the next to die...

The problem I have with the "Anyone Can Die"/Kill Em All tropes is that there comes a point where I no longer care about the characters and unfortunately that happened to me in this series.

I think Hoodlum being an infiltrator was something that was set up just as last-minute misdirection for this episode. He goes off-screen at a time where anything could have happened, comes back acting super-sus, the audience expects him to turn traitor, then it turns out to be someone else
