Hey, what's up.

So, I'm not one to busy myself with correcting misapplied tropes. It's not really my area of expertise. Somebody added the Stance System to an article I frequently edit. I wasn't aware there was an article for this. Basically it refers to video game characters who can alter their fighting style mid-battle; the example which springs to mind is Raiden hitting people with the hilt of his sword to stun instead of kill, but Gen is famous in the fighting game scene for changing his movelist.

Anyway, I noticed that the Final Fantasy section was just misapplied examples of people using more than one move, or buffing offense or defense; just blatantly unrelated stuff. Really awkward attempts to stuff as many examples into it as possible.

My heart sank when I checked again. Half of this article is just misapplied, probably more. Not sure if some editor is frantically trying to crosswick this thing, or if the header is too vague for people to really understand. Too bad because the trope is worthy or an article.

We'll need actual evidence presented that proves misuse, not simply anecdotal evidence.

Declined.
