As someone who's seen both the original movie, the Netflix show, and the showrunner's library of horror, it's a weird mix. The stuff centering around Nurse Ratched herself is great and really fits the disturbing nature of her character from the original. Everything else might as well be American Horror Story: Asylum 2.0.
The legend has returned.

Frankly I wonder why any Netflix original isn't here.
The difference between Web Original and Series on this site is... Blurred thanks to web original full length programming.

I have a soft spot for that telling the "other story" of a previous work - Maleficent and Bates Motel being examples - and especially the story of villains. I've never seen One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, but I know enough that the idea of telling the "origin" of the movie's antagonist x years later is fascinating.
Also, Villain Protagonist, whoo.
